Ward hasn't lost a fight since he was 14 years old. Last US men's gold medalist 2004, Two division world champion, pound for pound fighter, Super Six Tournament winner, respected by his peers across the board. But yet he gets the most hate from his own fellow countrymen. It's sickening and insane how much hate is in this world. I've been to many countries and win, lose or draw they apprecate and love their champions.Comment

Who do you consider to have been better at that time at 168? Who was better than Kovalev at 175 when Ward beat him? Who should he have fought to shut you up? Calling great fighters like Froch, Kessler and Kovalev "rubbish" is quite idiotic, so I am curious who did he avoid?Comment

being a "world champion" does not mean refusing to fight abroad and being in the witness protection league ffs, just look at what usyk is doing, fighting champions in their back yards, schooling them and doing so without any illegal tactics.
why couldn't ward do that? if he was so good...Comment

Carl Froch once said of Andre Ward...
"After almost every fight i'd always thought i'd done enough to win or that I might nick it but not against Andre Ward. I said it in front of the cameras because you have to but deep down I knew. It was confirmed the next morning because after every other fight i'd ever had i'd wake up in the morning and my hands were in agony. I woke up the morning after the Ward fight and my hands were right as rain"
Say whatever you want about Ward but most struggled to hit him with a handful of confetti (stolen quote from Ricky Hatton).Comment

A real tactician. Wasn’t the most talented or athletically gifted, but he knew how to win with sheer will, skills, toughness, and grittiness.Comment
