Ronnie Shields a SCARED LITTLE OLD MAN - Morrell was bred to be a beast since the crib

Ronnie throwing in his input trying to ****block yet another fight. He is full of insecurities, Ronnie is, look at Charlo at 160, Lara left him, the other Charlo left him and see how his career blossomed.

Morrell better get away from Shields, you don't want that insecure, fearful energy to rub on you, let alone train you. WTF?!? Go to Las Vegas and train with Salas.

This fool probably on Shaw Porter payroll.

I am posting a video where David Morrell with only 18 years of age, in my opinion, beat the two time Olympic gold medalist and 5 times World Champ Julie Cezar la Cruz. Then Ronnie Shields be talking cabbage about Morrell not ready for Plant????????????

I remember back in the day when the same Shields was hyping up Ajagba and Stanionis as the future of boxing and saying Ajagba was ready for anybody. I wish I was making it up but I am not.

It's possible. Shields is the one who speaks for Jermall when ducking allegations arise about him, such as when Oscar exposed that GBP sent offers to Charlo for the Canelo fight some 2 yrs ago. It was cricket for about 2 weeks, then Ronnie, his trainer, came out, not Charlo's manager.

Ronnie Shields has nothing to do with that. He tends to be the last to hear about what's going to happen. Al Haymon and his guys are the one's making those decisions.

Dude. You need to layoff Ronnie Shields man. Why you think Shields is responsible for that **** is beyond me. He's literally the last guy to find out what's about to happen. When Charlo accepts a fight, Ronnie just trains him to win. Simple as. If you want to know who's blocking the fights, you better talk to Al Haymon and Charlo's manager (if it's not just Haymon) to find out the "why" behind things. Shields is a damn good trainer. Show some respect.

Charlo listens to Shields intently. Jermall doesn't even listen to the network exec Espinoza who tried to make the Benavidez fight.

Yeah. I just read the article that must have started this thread. Ronnie knows what he's talking about. I think a David Benavidez fight for Morrell right now is a really bad idea. Caleb Plant? That's more doable. Shields said that he just wants to think about it and make sure not to rush Morrell into anything. I don't see what the big deal is right now. Benavidez is no joke and Morrell has plenty of time. Ronnie has been in this game longer than most of us have been alive, so I think it's a good idea to listen to him.

              I was talking about this:

Showtime's Espinoza: I Still Think It's Very Possible Jermall Charlo-Benavidez Happens Next

You have to ask Espinoza why he stopped pursuing it. Obviously, Espinoza was led to believe Charlo wanted it because of a recent interview where Charlo said he's amenable to fight Benavidez.

Oh yeah. I see. Ronnie and Charlo were waiting for that Canelo fight, hoping he'd go with them instead of Bivol. That's what happened. Charlo had been waiting for that "pay day" and didn't want to get tied up with a fight and lose out.

Ronnie Shields is an excellent and world class trainer. I would take his word over anyone's here. Morrell must agree otherwise he wouldn't be with him but if he feels strongly that he should fight Benavidez next he should go for it. I'm sure Shields would still train him, and if not Morrel can go with Salas or someone else he trusts.

However, there's no point in rushing a fight with Benavidez or even Plant. He should call out Berlanga and try to make his name known early in his career before stepping up to fight the top guys.

When Ronnie Shields is looking for certain sparring fighters he's gotta select them carefully in case his fighter is not yet ready for them LMAO
I can actually see him doing it with Lara, Charlo anybody else elite that he was/is training.
