Why should Gatti takes on Witter in his backyard? There are a lot of opponents out there who could be much more interesting.

Moneys the most important thing, if he can earn the most in Witter backyard then he should. I think the UK £ is pretty strong against the US $ too, it may be worth the travel.

Gatti turned down more to face Hatton in the UK so i doubt this fight would happen there, unless Gatti thinks its a really easy night against Witter.

i mean its not like its a real significant belt
he just won it from that branco fruit
im sure at this stage of his career its more about getting as much money as possible for and less about belts

He wont be getting no 5 million dollar payday if he doesnt fight Mayweather.


The only reason Arum is willing to shell this out is because he is sick and tired of paying Mayweather 3 million a fight that doesnt generate the publics interest. Arum is going to go all out and this is make or break and will fill the bank for Arum. Wise choice because once Mayweather beat Gatti the bigger fights would roll in....Id definately be down for Tszyu/DLH/Judah fight for Mayweather.

Actually dont let the legal matters fool you, Corrales was in the same boat as Mayweather when their bout was going to be scheduled and it came across fine. Main events makes every excuse in the book to make them look better. It is well known Arum and Mayweather HATE each other, while Top Rank may have not been able to communicate with Mayweather. You can bet your sweet ass, Main events jumped at the opportunity and was like "MAYWEATHER IS DUCKING, WONT EVEN CONTACT HIS OWN PROMOTER. THE SHOW WILL GO ON AND OUR MEAL TICKET WILL FIGHT ON JUNE 11TH."

Their is complications in all negotiations, but the Gatti side blows things way out of proportion. If the Purse Bid does go on as planned Gatti/Main events will be screwed.......

If Mayweather was to face the winner of Hatton/Tszyu, I pray it is Tszyu.....Floyd would outclass Hatton.
