Heavyweight contender Adam Kownacki will attempt to get his career back on track. The 33-year-old Kownacki (20-2, 15 KOs) will see action on July 30 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Kownacki picked up some of his biggest wins at Barclays, with victories over Charles Martin, Gerald Washington and Chris Arreola.

Two pressure fighters. Kow is th better puncher but Helenius may have messed up his punch resistance. Win sets him up for a Breazeale Level Wilder comeback KO!

Embarrassing that he rejected a fight with Chisora on July 9th in London. This guy is a joke.

Helenius caught you at complicated time in your life TWICE? There were over 1,5 year between those fights

Why? What’s the benefit of fighting “Cheese-aw-rah” (as Jafaken calls him)?

So Kownacki turns down a war for much more money and acclaim with Chisora, to fight a relatively unknown dude that will likely out box him and pretty much end Kownacki's career? He's made some awful choices

That is a good fight, better than Kownacki -Chisora. Demirezen is tough guy.

High risk fight for Kownacki for much less money than Chisora would be. I am surprised he has chosen this.

Should have taken the Del Boy fight. He wont be getting a bigger fight than that ever again most likely.

Al Haymon must have promised him a Wilder fight for similar money to Chisora, plus this comeback fight for warm up makes sense. I generally hate Haymon's in-house only strategy but here it makes sense to Kownaki to take this offer instead of Chisora.
