I don't see Kambosos being able to adjust in the rematch so we'll get more of the same. He doesn't have the skills to crack Haney's defense, longer reach, and movement. Haney is a bad style matchup for anybody, but for a limited fighter like Kambosos, it's doubly difficult. With Lopez, Kambosos got opportunities to score because Teo was stepping to him all pretty much all night.

Kambosos kinda blew it by playing it safe. He was never hurt, true, but he was numbingly outclassed in a fight totally devoid of drama or action. I don't see the rematch drawing as much business interest because Kambosos allowed the 1st one to stink bad. And it was on Kambosos to press the fight and engage because anyone could predict what Haney would do to win.

I do believe that Haney can survive Loma and perhaps Lopez - that's if he doesn't "Rolly" run into a massive power punch. I think Shakur Stevenson, however, will have Haney's number.
That fight will never happen. Shakur and Haney. Promotors avoid fights like that unless it's a must. Too boring for the fans to have two counterpunchers just staring at each other from across the ring. You have to match them up correctly so it's not a snooze fest.

That was just irony, of course.

Kambosos was throwing very little, thus - given what you just noted - one wonders what would have happened had he committed a little more...

Again though, Undisputed at 23. Crazy

Holy ****, he’s only 23? He throws a nice jab, has great movement and speaks/comes across really well. But it’s hard to get excited about him when he has zero power. Hope he somehow develops some more respectable power.

The only dude to have beat but not KO either Linares or Gamboa. That’s a crazy statistic.

Yeah. There's sneaky ways of breaking the clinch. You can apply pressure on elbow joints and other areas, whereby you can do damage. Usually a guy will scream out when you do that but the ref will think you just landed a punch. But you're guaranteed for you opponent to think twice about clinching. I'll have to rewatch the fight and see what Georgie can do differently.

BTW, Haney was dipping down below his legs and the belt line almost every time he ducked, and that's not allowed for the same reason you're not allowed to turn your back on your opponent.

Expose his chin so the tattooed thug could wash him? I swear some of you need to stick with mma because you really sound like that fan base
is he a thug because he has tattoos [in which case most boxers are thugs by your definition] OR a tattooed person who happens to be a thug [in that case why mention the tattoos?] - do you have tattoos, do your kids if you have some? are they thugs?

Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney should fight for the world title of “most phenomenal young boxer with a boring style that’s almost impossible to get excited about”.

Mad respect for his skills, an absolute boxing master, and if I were his handlers I wouldn’t be having him box any differently, but man oh man….

I said it before the fight that after this bout we will get another delusional fighter and his fanbase. It all panned out exactly as predicted. Just succk it up and move on if you can.
