Mayweather, Marquez Make Weight… Or Did They?

your certifications are not certified.Aside from being a certified CHERRYPICKER, Mayweather is now a certified weight CHEATER. Marquez was already at a great disadvantage at the contracted weight of 144 lbs. How much more now that Mayweather weighed in at 146. Knowing beforehand that the fight will go on whatever he weighs in as long as it is in the welterweight limit, he adds another advantage to his already stacked side. Poor Marquez. I hope this IRS ****bag loses.Comment

I agree now there shouldn't be absolutely any excuses. He has to win decisively or his rep and record will remain questionable.Comment

I just wish they would have originally said this was a welterweight fight. This way it wouldn't seem as if Marquez was ripped off. We all knew something was going on from the beginning when they wouldnt' announce the weight limit. I feel the purpose of this was for Mayweather to first attempt to make 144 to see if he was comfortable at that weight. If he didn't then he could move to a more natural weight.
Then again this all could just be added drama to bring more hype to the weigh in and promotion.Comment

The bottomline is that on fight night both fighters are going to come in around the same weight. So I don't believe the weight is going to be that much of an issue. The both are at their ideal weight. Standing next to each other both fighters look like the have the same dimensions besides height. Which also is not going to be an issue because floyd fights short because he bends his knees in his stance.
I feel Marquez is without a doubt Mayweather's toughest challenge. He wants to be in his best condition and size. This is going to be a great fight and I hope noone allows this drama and controversy to interfere with that.Comment

The bottomline is that the public was cheated. Mayweather was never intended to weigh in at 144. If that had been the case, why would they have made two weights, the official weight of 144 and a "contractual weight" of 147. Fact is, that a "contractual weight" is the weight that the fight is contracted for. Why didn't they say that all along? The answer is simple, because they wanted the public to believe that the fight was made on fair terms. It wasn't. Marquez is not supposed to win. I certainly hope he does now. Golden Boy Promotions have had several of their sleazy schemes backfire on them before...Comment

Im a bit shocked by this, i thought floyd would have to get off a few pounds to make a slightly lower weight but now he does not even have to do this!! I thought this was JMM's ONLY chance of getting an edge, but now its gone. This is not really going to help floyds image, its pretty obvious that over the past several years that floyd is unwilling to take any risks in choosing his opponents and now this leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth too, its never easy with floyd

This Fight is a Joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its just a shame that after all advantages that Mayweather has, he didnt take seriously the catchweight limit. The least he could do was makin the weight, I mean this fight against a little man was a Joke from the begginin, Its so unprofessional, makes me sick. Mayweather is a fighter who never had weight issues, he was retired, but he and his team really know how to make weight easily in a healthy way, This just shows that his intention was fight a WW limit from the begginin. Mayweather You are a FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Wow, now I wish I hadn't logged off last night before reading this little gem. Yeah, you're right - Look at the rest of my list...Morales lost to Pac, so I guess he sucks now. B-Hop lost to Joe C., so **** him...and Corrales got blitzed by your boyfriend Floyd, so I guess he doesn't matter either. You see, I don't love/root for fighters based on their record, but rather based on their warrior's heart and obvious love for the game. You sound like you've been hittin that bottle of "Mayweather Ball Juice". Funny thing is, I thought Ellerbe bought up the whole stash.Comment
