Comments Thread For: Ellerbe: Rolly Romero Is Strong As F---! Put All Other Lightweights Out There On Notice

NEW YORK - Gervonta Davis proved he is a level above Rolando Romero, but Leonard Ellerbe feels Romero established himself early Sunday morning as a legitimate threat to every elite lightweight in boxing.

One thing about Leonard over the years working so many years with Floyd and seeing the game for so long, he's learned how to bull**** us all!

I had Rolly winning until he got careless. He needs more training in terms of footwork and head movement but I don’t think ellerbe is wrong here. Rolly had what, 15 fights? And was in there with a top 10 p4p fighter. Rolly with 5-10 more fights and focused training can make some noise

This is how you hype the win. By hyping the opponent the same way they did with Floyd. Meanwhile, the fighters like Tank and Floyd are calling their opponents bums and C-level fighters. It's got to be a tough job trying to promote morons whose ******ity undermines their marketing and PR work.

Tank has shown great skills, but, sorry, skills have to be proven against elite competition before you put a guy in the P4P Top 10. Tank is an elite fighter for sure, but he's honestly not done enough yet to make it into the Top 10 fighters in the sport.

Your comment doesn't make sense. So Tank is an elite fighter that hasn't faced elite competition? How do you know he's elite then? Davis is not elite until he faces elite competition IMO. He beat Romero, great, but the guy had 14 fights and started boxing at 17 and Davis didn't look good in the process
