Probably not. AJ doesn’t have a good enough chin to fight the style that Garcia teaches.

Very interesting, but anyone other than Davison would be better than McCracken honestly. Curious to see how it works out and if AJ comes for seek and destroy. I hope so, would lead to a more interesting outcome

Well guess this means his boxing gameplan from the first fight is out the window and rightly so his only way of winning is to snap Usyk in half early

Whether people think Joshua can fight aggressively or not. It is clear that he at-least is going to give it a good go.

Joshua can fight extremely aggressively at mid-range, but he has zero inside game. Uysk also has zero inside game, so they are similar in that aspect.

Hopefully Robert Garcia's helps improve Joshua's inside game, and teaches him how to actually fight a big man styled fight i.e Tie a fighter up on the inside, wrestle on the inside, some rough house tactics, and the ability to throw punches at close range etc.

Joshua has never been able to do this very well. Tyson Fury is fairly good at this, Lennox Lewis & Rid**** Bowe were exceptional in this area.

Last person I'd expect him to pick. He needs a Norman Stone. Someone that is going to light a fire under him in the fight.

AJ doesn't have the tank for Garcia's style.

I was wondering about that too. I can't remember Garcia training any heavyweights before either. Not even trainer is suited for it.

I'm going to be honest, Garcia is a helluva trainer and maybe he's more dynamic than I'm giving him credit for. If we know AJ doesn't have the tank, dam skippy he knows that too.

Maybe he knows how to get AJ more miles to the gallon? Also, AJ needs good instruction ---> honest instruction during the rounds. McCrackle isn't good in the corner from my experience. He's vague and SOP.

With all of that said though, all of that can disappear in the blinnk of an eye once AJ gets into a firefight. Personally, I think it's too late ---> his mistakes are too burned in.

If Manny Steward was still around, the best trainer of our generation ---> even he would need time, several fights worth of time to have an impact. Look at how he changed Vlad, but it took time. Vlad used to make crazy mistakes like getting low, giving up his reach, getting into unnecessary firefights.

Vlad was 27 when he hired Manny, AJ is 32. At 32, your at the ~end of your physical prime. Two years left of physical prime at best ---> max and from then on out you're running on skills and experience.

I'm not going to say I wish AJ the best because I have extreme dislike for him. I want to see Usyk spark him this time and put this toe head to bed.
