Can we be real and admit Mayweather would school Sugar Ray Robinson

I know we love the rose tinted goggles on here but SRR primative brain would be utterly befuddled by Floyd's slick skills and he would lose 12-0 or get stopped like Arturo Gatti.

Castillo, maidana, dlh, PAC beat floyd arguably.SRR would never beat Floyd as Floyd wouldn't fight him. If Floyd don't give you fights we wanted like Thurman, Spence, bud, brook, Bradley what makes you think he fights srr? Nelo would fight srr, nelo tries fighting who people want him to

Floyd created the PBC blueprint. That means no prime opponents! He could fight him after his 3 year dance hiatus after getting melted vs Maxim. Maybe after his KO of Fulmer, the saps would eat that up “he’s still good!”. But never prime, and still he’d struggle with Robinson.

Just imagine. If Saul Alvarez stuck to the “still good” like vs Kovalev and the Caleb Plants of the world he’d still be undefeated more than likely.

None of the top fighters wanted to face Mayweather at his peak. Mayweather was way way more eroded by Pacquiao when they finally fought.

Pacquiao really should of beaten him. Mayweather beat Pacquiao with a poor performance, did not even get out of second gear. Maybe he could not get out of second gear.

Alvarez has been beaten twice now, and shown a completely different level. He should not be mentioned along side Mayweather, or any of the all-time greats in my opinion.

Most all-time greats lose due to fighting on too long, being not optimally prepared or some sort of injury. They never really lose due to being shown a different level.

Twice now Alvarez at his peak, has lost due to not being able to cope with another fighters level 'Mayweather beat him 12- 0 to 12-1 and Bivol something similar'. This never really happened to Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones Junior, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, the list can go on. Yes those fighters lost, but you can understand why they lost and they were also clearly competitive in the fights.

Really great fighters don't have a distinctive prime, they stay competitive and adapt to the changing environment and competition level. Mayweather was one of those fighters, he was out of his peak for years 'And still nobody could beat him'.

Out of his peak for years he was only 36 when he stopped challenging himself. Hardly past peak like Hopkins or PAC. Plus Floyd avoided toughest challengers anyway so we don't know if nobody could beat him, and many think he was beaten anyway. Nobody wanted to see Berto and maidana and Ortiz and guerrero fights over Thurman, Spence, brook, bradley
