So Tank was touched up multiple times by a "dumb ass fighter"...

What is it with NSB that when a dude has a huge KO win, posters talk about just the negatives?

This thread feels like the “GGG got exposed” thread after he ko’d Brook, which I posted at the time was dumb as f-ck and I don’t like GGG.

Can’t we just celebrate the win.

      Yeah...ok

Most who know what they were watching saw:

      - Tank should have been ruled KD after Rolly caught him with the punch that made him hold on for dear life (same as Crawford/Kavaliauskas) in the early rounds
      - Rolly was hitting Tank with the second of a two-piece on multiple occasions
      - Rolly was the constant aggressor all 6 rounds (traditional scoring: the aggressor almost always wins the round)
      - Tank had to resort to more clinching than he's done in previous fights (NSB would normally criticize such behavior)

Im not surprised how it went at all and don't downgrade Tank at all, he shows vulnerabilities, so does Crawford it doesn't mean they are going to lose and it doesn't mean they don't do the same to the very best out there, it just adds into more interesting fights like the one today.
Which is our point - if Rolly was being underestimated, that should be called out instead of people continuing to trash him when frankly, he performed way better than he should have. And we think he gives quite a few guys problems in the division - even Tank in a rematch, frankly.

It was one punch. A perfectly placed punch.

Under no circumstances did we actually prove that Tank is "better" than Rolly...we just proved that Tank has a better ring IQ.

But when he reacted in pain in around round 5 or whatever, and the fact he was nowhere near as aggressive and just waiting on counters, it's just funny to us that if this were any other fighter doing that, they'd be called a runner, but since it's Rolly that was across from him and people hate Rolly, all of a sudden it's a brilliant boxing lesson.

        No.

Usyk against Joshua was a brilliant boxing lesson.
Bivol against Canelo was a brilliant boxing lesson.
Porter against Formella was a brilliant boxing lesson.
Spence against Peterson was a brilliant boxing lesson.
Rocha against Cobbs was a brilliant boxing lesson.
Ugas against Manny was a brilliant boxing lesson.

This was either (A) Tank declining or (B) Rolly better than he's being given credit for. Period.

A fighter that gets in the ring and executes exactly what he said he was planning to do beforehand is "declining"? Okay.
It was great because if you look carefully both guys had opportunities albeit one guy was succesful the other guy stopped short of being succesful. Rolly needed to go in and fight Tank inside... He couldn't do it. Tank waited him out knowing the judges would never give Rolly rounds, and struck when the iron was hot.

Yeah, the smart thing Tank did was go backwards the whole fight - took away most Romero's opportunities to use to his length to score from midrange. In close quarters Tank was faster and throwing tighter shots, it made Romero hesitant to get inside. It was the perfect approach and once Tank got the timing down it was lights out.

Exactly what you want to see. Tank is going to be a handful for anyone at 135.... I would be shocked if Oscar lets Garcia fight him.
