Anyone flown business/first class on long haul fight

As a matter of principle I refuse to fly first class... Not that I could afford to do so regularly. I think airlines have been fcking the rest of us for years... And they are doing things that make people so uncomfortable that people are literally snapping.

The solution according to the Stewardess' is to throw people longer in the slammer... I don't agree. Seats used to fit, people used to get a meal, refreshment... Today? they nickel and dime you, the seats are so small, that a big person suffers... its outrageous. I could not fly in the front knowing that others are being so horridly treated. I might go up for an upgrade, but would not go out of my way to support this system because of where it has gotten us.

Emirates and Qatar offer ‘suites’ which are like hotel rooms.

Will set you back about $20,000 for the privilege.

You can get a return business class ticket on Japan airlines for about 2K from Heathrow to Tokyo.

I flew first class to China a few years back. They had these tiny cubicle looking seats that reclined into a bed. It wasn't terrible, but I think they cost like 8 or 9 grand if I remember correctly, so IMO they should have been a bit more comfortable for that price.

I flew Hong Kong-Toronto with Cathay in business class. Its a 16 hours flight. Great airline.

Actually? I think your interest is valid... If someone has a legit interest and/or will really enjoy the experience... I would make a distinction. I just hate to get on a plane and see these haughty looking individuals that give the airlines such a great reason to treat the rest of the passengers as cargo.

One of the nicest things about being a chef, which I have been, is cooking for people who have saved their pennies (so to speak) to experience a French Dinner cooked properly. Then you get people who just could not give a shiat at all the work and preparation that goes into making such a meal... People who have a real interest! They are always welcome.

Hell yes. It is my favorite airline. It was such a great flight.
