His problem in the Canelo fight was that he took the “not get hit” part of boxing to heart. He took it so seriously that not only did try not to get hit, he was also trying not to hit his opponent.

Before the fight, I predicted Lara would win. But during and after the fight, I knew Lara was not going to win because Canelo was trying to engage with Lara, throwing anything. But Lara was just running and throwing meaningless jabs. You can’t get rounds like that. Lets be honest in reality lara did put up a fight in the early rounds with his 1-2 combos and lots of movement but canelo slowed him down with mean bodypunches plus those upper that eventually cut lara its was a close fight but lara just didnt do enough at the later rds to get decision
