joe smith is exactly canelos type- slow stiff walking heavy bag, he'd look like 'prime canelo' in that one.

Canelo boxes his ears off. Punchers chance always in the pocket though.

He pretty much would have the same problem as with Bivol. He CANT hurt Smith but Smith CAN HURT Canelo. Smith hits harder than Bivol.
Canelo is just too small for that elite of that weight class

Canelo probably beats him via clear decision but Joe always has a puncher's chance.

Canelo outboxes Smith, or by a lucky punch, Smith manages to land and Canelo goes down.

                Now it would be interesting.

he fought Kovalev at 175, but Kovalev was pulling his punches all night, playing tippy tap boxing, so I think Canelo didn’t get a taste of 175 power

He admitted he felt Bivol’s shots, and Bivol isn’t a thunderous puncher. But you could see Canelo was put in his place by Bivol’s punches, as well as his style.

Joe Smith is a very heavy handed 175, so Canelo
would go into that fight in total safety first mode v Smith, if he was bothered by Bivol.

Interesting fight, Canelo is by far the superior boxer but after his last fight, I’m not sure he would dare to throw much if he was back at 175 against a puncher.

If he catches him with a "Fonfara Right", no matter who Canelo is - he will be knocked out.

Smith jr. is arguably the third best guy in division. We already know Canelo doesn`t belong to 175, so I am surprised many guys here pick Canelo to win.

Smith jr. just walks Canelo down. he has less skills than Bivol, but much more power.
