That's because he did at the lower weights where there was less money and he wasn't recognized how he is today. Now that he is on top he has an opportunity to carry the mantle and make big fights. I think if your not going to make the big fights, then be humble. You beat the top dogs, talk all you want.

What because the TS said something? Whatever he says doesn't go you know... I aint saying he is a lier or any ****, but I am saying he could be wrong... so it doesn't end anything.

Like I said, wait for figures after the fight... there is a good chance that it isn't selling well... but lets wait and see.
Nah bro, popped onto ticketmaster this morning. You should do the same and you'll see that this fight isn't selling. The biggest draw in boxing outta be able to sellout the gate, no?

when are you people going to learn that the gate and PPV numbers ARE TWO SEPERATE THINGS. And most the time theyre unrelated.

guys like Hatton and big name Puerto Rican fighters have diehard fans that will follow them across the nation and buy their expensive tickets.

fighters like Mayweather, generally dont have those diehard kind of fans. but they can still create a lot of hype and PPV buys.

anyways, just enjoy the night of fights.

Damn, only in America. I'd be walking around the MGM for hours hoping to get pulled inside for free. Then run to a bar and watch the fights if I didn't get chosen.

You do realize putting this fight in theaters had nothing to do with FMJ. It was a GBP and HBO decision.

Actually, the MGM offers the fight tickets to their hotel guests first, but I've heard the same thing, this fight is just not selling.

Ofcourse you might think there's no correlation between ticket sales and ppv success. I think there is.

His bragging days are done. Pac-Cotto fight has already sold more tickets. Has more buzz. Will do a bigger gate. Will get more PPV buys. You can sig that.
You may be right about the ticket sales but the part in red you are insane about. How could you write something so ******?

According to Ellerbe at the press conference the other day, it was Floyd's idea to put the fight in theaters like they used to do back in the day.

I don't have a link. I watched the press conference live online.
