They should order Canelo to decide in which division he competes

Canelo`s plan is beating blown up middleweight for 4 belts, than losing to Bivol at 175 again and than in september 2023 he will maybe fight a real 168 contender.

He took 4 belt hostage at 168.

Canelo shouln`t be allowed having the whole 168 division on hold so long.

He unified the division and then tried to move up to win another title.

He's allowed a voluntary at 168, especially a fight of this size, after what he's achieved there.

Like every boxer around his weight class waiting for the phone to ring with an offer so are the sanctioning bodies, arenas, etc doing the same. He brings so much money that they are going to almost let him do what ever he wants that is within reason.

its ****ing ridiculous and he's pulled this bull**** his whole career. he should stay at one weight for a proper period of time, sick to death of him jumping up and down depending on if he sees a winnable fight for him. its not as if he moves up and down to fight the best guy either, 99.99 percent of people had beterbiev as the number 1 guy in the division when he chose to move up to fight bivol, now instead of moving down to fight benavidez he moves down to fight the 40 year old (not only that but the 40 year old has to move up himself) he even thought about moving up to crusierweight to fight that bum who bellew beat in 3 rounds who somehow got a belt. hes done this for years to avoid having to fight the best guys in each division, he wins a belt off a weak titleholder then changes division

You create your own narrative based on nothing but contempt and jealousy of Canelo's well-earned status in this sport. Even after losing clean to Bivol, you are on here suggesting that he was trying to pull a fast one by going after the softest LHW champion. Any fan who follows the sport knew that Bivol was a very serious threat to Canelo. Bivol is going to beat Beterbiev IF Beterbiev gets past Joe Smith Jr next month. Regarding the GGG fight, Canelo may well lose that one too. GGG is old, but he remains an elite fighter because he's special. Everybody is riding high on Benavidez suddenly because he beat up a washed-up MW who GGG practically murdered when he (Lemieux) was at the peak of his prime 7 years ago.

Well, if he doesn't meet his mandatory obligations then one or more of the sanctioning bodies will surely strip him eventually. Maybe Benavidez can win himself one of those vacant belts and get some leverage to get the next shot at Canelo after the Bivol rematch. Don't think for a moment that Canelo has anything to fear from Benavidez if he went after Bivol twice. As far as GGG goes, he's moved up to 168lbs so he's a SMW.
