He literally spoke about this after the pair of Canelo fights. He felt wronged by the business side of boxing. It changed him as a person. Why do you think he doesn't come out with his whole "Big Drama Show" schtick anymore? Because he feels wronged by the politics of boxing. He even admitted that Undisputed is no longer his main goal but only the big fights. Undisputed no longer drives him it's him being aware of his age and how politics never favored him.

Politics of boxing? The guy has made at least 30-50 million in his career. Give me that kind of politics.

Trash fight several years too late. However, it would be perfect karma if ggg was able to roll back the clock somehow and pull this off. It would be extremely damaging to that legacy Canelo loves to bring up.

Hopefully the judges watch for those wild "not connecting" punches thrown by Canelo and disregard them and the crowd. If the judges score a fight the way it's supposed to be scored, GGG can pull off the upset. He obviously has the style to beat Canelo.

Golovkin better be wary of tucking his chin too well; a shot on the arm that close to the jaw is considered a scoring blow to judges.

So I am watching GGG vs Murata over.... there is NO WAY IN HELL Canelo can put in the volume that Murata did... and even still... Murata was stopped. Canelo at 168 and 175 is going to be easier for GGG I feel.

Canelo stole GGG's belts at 160.... would be awesome if GGG becomes undisputed at 168 by stopping Canelo. =P THAT WOULD BE EPIC!

Doesn't make any more sense now this fight, GGG didn't look super good in his last fight although he won. he was huffing and puffing the first couple of rounds already. Lets see at what weight this fight will be because if it is at 168lbs its even more bad news for GGG

GGG needs to go down the JMM path, transform himself into a roided up beast and knock Canelo out.
