Khan had a fair bit of amateur experience and at 21 fights he was fighting Kotelnik for a world title, he’d fought a washed up Barrera and been flattened by Prescott

Conor has no real amateur experience and has had 21 fights thus far and I don’t think his opponents are any worse than Khan’s after this many fights. Let’s be real, If Benn’s division had a champ as weak as Kotelnik, Eddie Hearn would be throwing Benn into a title shot.

So it’s alright Khan saying Benn needs to go prove himself and he will have to when it’s time, but khan hadn’t fought top fightsrs after this many fights either and he was an Olympic medalist.

This is the most likely scenario and Hearn will say Maidana ducked Benn so he was forced to fight the most available cab driver

See my above post. After the same amount of fights, Khan hasn’t fought any top opponents either, just washed up guys and an easily title shot, 2 fights after being knocked out, and Khan had much more amateur background.

So Benn is doing alright, not much different to Khan after 21 fights.

I just so happen to agree with Khan. Amir is right. How long does Eddie intends on coddling and pampering this kid? It's time for him to put on his big boy pants now and fight a real contender or a titleholder.

Benn either got it or he don't, wouldn't mind seeing him against Thurman

Ennis is younger than Benn, he's not going to wait him out.

It's interesting that Benn is the UK's best WW at this point, given that Josh Kelly was a 16 Olympian, and Benn barely has any amateur pedigree at all. So, given his considerable lesser experience, at this point he's done not too badly and has been well progressed as he learns. But it's time now to be properly tested, to see exactly if he has the minerals. Should be an interesting watch. Wether he'll be successful or not I'm not sure. But he's certainly rattled a lot of cages. Must be doing something right, as nobody bothers about a poor fighter.

He's all you say, just the part about rattling cages because he's doing something right. It's his competition and progression that are the complaint. He couldn't KO one old guy, so he gets an older smaller guy next. Thats like adding 10 feet to your golf stroke, by taking ten steps back.

I mean rattling the cages of posters on here. If Benn was so poor, nobody would waste their time commenting. And yet, there's this obsession from some quarters, to continually put him down. Now that's fact. And as I stated, he's a progressive work, given his lack of amateur pedigree. Josh Kelly was an Olympian. Where is he? Nothing wrong with development. And especially when mistakes where made earlier in his career. But as I've acknowledged. It's time to step it up.
