Hearn is correct. The old Arum line “let it marinate” is sometimes for the better. Benavidez needs to build his name up in US. Tho Hearn has to talk some sense in Tainted beef camp. Rematch with Bivol is a bad idea. Another one sided loss and he’s not a big event anymore with normies

Hearn talking other people's business yet again. One day complaining that PBC keep all their fights in-house...because they are afraid to test their fighters...then the next day telling them to keep Benavidez for one of their own fighters. Hrarn doesn't want Canelo to fight Benavidez yet...because that's a fight outside of his contract. Whoever Canelo fights next...that's the second fight of his 2 fight deal. Only way Hearn has any chance of extending that is by steering other promotors fighters away.

Hearn gets out of line plenty, but this is correct.

Carlo is probably too valuable to move up and (potentially) sacrifice to Benavidez. Plant is a mediocre talent that does good numbers due to his skin color - he's the perfect fighters to hand to Benavidez to KO and create big hype for a Canelo PPV.

Canelo-Benavidez could do over a million buys in the right circumstance.
