I like that fight for Ball. That’s a decent name to bring over as well, winnable fight for sure against a good level guy. Big fan of that fight if they make that, would be a more than acceptable headliner in Liverpool or a terrific co-main for that Manchester Arena card.
Think they’re struggling to get sanctioning in Ireland Conlan boxing- likely due to the MTK links. Hopefully they can get the Crocker-McKenna fight over the line. I like that matchup.

I don’t know why Frank won’t come to Liverpool. Ball could headline- could even still make the Jazza fight which does good ticket sales IMO. Then you’ve got Andrew Cain who you could have as chief support and not sure if Frank’s still working with Boma Brown but there’s a young HW fighting out of Liverpool you could build up.

The Conlan Boxing/Matchroom card planned for Dec 2nd looks pretty good.

          Conlan vs Gill
          Crocker vs McKenna
          Agyarko vs Williamson
          McComb vs Maxwell.

Interesting move from Matchroom though considering they have Cameron-Taylor scheduled for Ireland. I’m wondering whether they’re struggling to get sanctioning, McKenna recently had a fight rejected in Dublin.

Interesting re: McKenna, I thought it was just that they pulled the event (was it Esposito or somebody he was meant to be in with?). I would’ve thought they’d make Zelfa-Dilmaghani for this card if they’re looking at a good MR-Conlan Boxing matchup but maybe it was deemed a bit of a risk by one side or something.

As you say it’s a decent card, don’t really rate the main event but can see the reasoning for the opponent.

To be fair to Frank he’s done a good job getting Bentley and Sheeraz profile building fights. An instance of a fight successfully ‘marinating’ a bit and it becoming bigger as a result, providing they both come through of course …

Wonder if the plan will be to try and get Janibek-Gualtieri winner over to get one of them (probably Bentley you’d have thought) another world title go. Nothing to be lost from Bentley stepping in there again and potentially everything to gain. He acquitted himself well in the first fight and Janibek won’t be flooded with offers from opponents you wouldn’t have thought (sorry state of affairs though that is considering he’d be unified champion of a historical glamour division)

Yeah the fight got rejected by the BUI or whoever the sanctioning body was.

Starting to wonder whether Cameron-Taylor is having similar problems as it would be a pretty strange move for Matchroom to be involved with Irish cards on back to back weekends.

I’d rather them fight each other early next year- providing both win, but I think you’re probably right. Janibek wouldn’t be the most expensive champion to bring over to the UK.

Middleweight is an absolute wasteland atm, can’t ever remember it being this much of an afterthought in all the years I’ve followed boxing.

Forgot to mention… Dilmaghani is fighting Nov 10th in France, I forget the opponents name, it’s Belmehdi or something like that, Cully iced him early on a Katie Taylor undercard.

Lee McGregor vs Isaac Lowe rumoured for Dec 1st on Channel 5. Interesting to see what weight it’s at.
