Seems the money for boxers is in the UK now. Look at Kownacki. He lost in his last 3 fights and he's fighting Chisora next.

They were in talks last summer but Kownacki rejected the fight and Pulev essentially replaced him.

Not technically UK, but Makabu-Jack to be the chief support for the Jake Paul-Fury fight. Who’s Jack promoted by? If he wins (unlikely, because he looked poor against Rivera, but Makabu is hardly a P4P talent), might it be easier to get him over for a UK fight then dealing with Don?

I think it’s an indictment against Ben Shalom that he’s allowed a nearly 40 year old Badou Jack to jump in front of Riakporhe and CBS to get Makabu first. Makabu should have been brought over to the UK at some point last year.

I think Jack might be self-promoted, I know he has a promoters license. I also thought Makabu had to fight Gevor next but evidently not. I’m guessing the winner has to fight Gevor next?

I think Frank has been the one guy who's actually been able to somehow work with Don King.

Yeah he did the Dubois-Bryan fight with him too.

Even that got pretty acrimonious in the 1990s, Frank lost a legal action to Don that cost him an awful lot of money, and I think his contract with Naz?

Can’t remember the full story but they had a partnership in the 90’s, then Naz went to America and Frank felt Don wasn’t securing the sort of lucrative deals Naz deserved so Frank started working with other promoters like Arum instead, I think they made the Soto fight together. King then took Frank to court, claiming he had rights to 50% of Frank’s stable/assets due to their partnership but they settled out of court. I think Frank basically paid him off to dissolve their partnership.
