Yeah I believe so. Can’t say I know much about the guy. Anything on Itauma?

May no longer be on the card unfortunately. Unsure why, might have picked up a minor injury or something like that.

Know much about either of the new Matchroom signings RJJ? Aaron Bowen and Muhammad Ali?

Aaron Bowen is a very good signing. Local midlands lad so I've seen him at a fair few amateur shows in the past. He's got good potential.

Ali has went pro way to soon in my opinion. Slick and flashy style. Not sure how well it'll translate in the pros.

Bowen is a good signing. Obviously the commonwealth medal is the selling point but he also beat Karol Itauma in the 2019 ABA semi finals. Beat the former champion from the Navy in the final too.

Ali I know little about tbh, did he ever box as a senior? I think he’s possibly turning pro too early.

Fair play, heard he's going to be fighting at 168 in the pros but was a light heavy in the ams? Is that common for fighters to drop a weight from what they fought at before turning over?

Completely agree with the second part. Did he ever box as a senior? I only ever remember him being in junior comps.

He boxed at 81kg as an Amateur so he’s dropping about 10 lbs. Obviously with amateur boxing you have to maintain your weight for an entire tournament so you can’t heavily drain yourself and then rehydrate like you can in the pros. Bellew boxed at Heavyweight as an amateur and turned pro at Light Heavyweight for example.

Makes a lot of sense. Looking forward to seeing him fight, has Eddie got much else he can do in the Midlands other than the Yafais and Dacres? Missed out on Clarke and Whittaker obviously.

Not really, the Matchroom stable is looking pretty thin domestically these days. He’s got Wood in Nottingham but that’s about it.
