I’m leaning towards Denny. Think he’s riding the crest of a wave atm.

Definitely on a good run isn't he. Your mention of Cartwright-Azeez had me looking at his Boxrec and I saw he actually beat Denny for the English title at 160 a few years back. I'm guessing the fact he'd just been KO'd by Pitters and didn't have any wins of note above 160 was why they declined the request for him and Azeez for the British, yes? How come he took all that time off after the Denny win as well - three years 2018-2021?

He had several personal/mental health problems. Think he ended up losing his licence as well. Seems like he’s back on track now, although he’s not had much success at 175.

          Few things:

Think I saw Frazer Clarke now fighting Rydell Booker, who recently had that KO1 over an unbeaten fighter, on the Smith-Eubank Jr card?

Azim-Ballingall next for the English? Could that be on the same card, and anything else for that card?

Billy Nelson on Twitter suggesting the Smith-Eubank card was too early for Bakole to be ready for Hunter, might it go chief support to Taylor-Catterall instead?

What will happen with the Collins-Hamza fight ordered for the British now that Hamza lost at the weekend?

I hadn’t heard that one but really like that fight for Clarke. Good step up fight. He’ll give him rounds too.

I don’t think it will be next for Azim but I think it happens in 2023. Solid fight.

Yeah it was always likely going to be on the Taylor vs Catterall 2 card from what I heard. I seen a few people talking about this being on Smith-Eubank but I think they were misinformed tbh.

They’ll probably nominate a new challenger for the vacant belt. Beech Jr probably makes most sense as he beat Hamza.

Just been another post saying it won't be Booker. Lovejoy is making some noise on Twitter. That'd be an embarrassment, really hope it's not him.

Has it all gone quiet on Lerrone Richards and Chelli? Any noises about rescheduling - was ordered by the board as an eliminator for Heffron's British wasn't it as well?

Yeah that would be terrible. That Lovejoy is awful man. A complete fraud of a fighter. I suspect Kevin Johnson has been rejected a British licence and now they’re scrambling find an opponent.

I don’t think Richards has any interest in fighting for domestic titles. I’m pretty sure their last fight wasn’t going to be for the English title despite it being listed on Boxrec and other sites. I’d probably rather them go their separate ways tbh. Get Lerrone in a ranking fight against a guy rated top 10 and let Chelli work towards winning a British title.

James Metcalf vs Dennis Hogan is being tentatively planned for the Katie Taylor Croke Park show next year.

Did surprise me how despite beating Gongora and having a few wins at Euro level Richards didn’t seem to have any decent standing with the orgs - think his Ring ranking might’ve been better than any of his actual rankings which must be rare for a non-champion. I guess that’s the danger of the IBO.

Do like that. Reckon we get Agyarko and Cully there as well most likely?
