I wonder whether it’s DAZN tightening the purse strings or him being out of touch with the value of fights?

It’s another purse bid where he had the A-side and he’s lost it. Smith is one of their better prospects too and he’s a ticket seller. This is the type of bid you’d want to win.

Has to be DAZN tightening up. Hearn would happily overpay for fights previously. He's only won one pursue bid this year in the Ebanie Bridges fight, which no one cares about, if I'm not mistaken. It makes his business look bad, like he doesn't back his fighters anymore. I want DAZN to do well, love the app, way more convenient but it's looking bad.

Feels like they’re scaling back on the UK project. Fights like Cordina-Rakhimov being moved from the UK to the Middle East is a bad sign IMO.

Missed this earlier, but this is the fight I was begging for. See if Gill can come through the hell that Kiko will bring and one last chance for Kiko to prove he's got something in the tank still

Tough fight for Gill. He struggled with Guerfi and Kiko is a definite step up from that sort of competition.

Yarde rumoured to be back on the 26th of November. Is there anything more on Dubois-Whyte? Think that was being lined up for then iirc?

Yeah looks like it’s gonna be a tune up and then Beterbiev in February. Be interesting him and Buatsi both on the same card.

Hopefully they can get Dubois-Whyte over the line. Whyte’s team have gone very quiet.

Who do you think they'll look at if they can't get Whyte? Wallin? Bakole? Earlier in the summer I was thinking Takam, but he's fighting tonight, and he'll probably get stopped so probably not great optics there.

Looking at the WBA's rankings, I see Kabayel as the only other potentially viable opponent. That's not to say he's better than Kossobutskiy or Dychko, but those guys have no name recognition.

There are rumours Jarrell Miller vs Lucas Browne is slated for the undercard so they’re likely the two replacement opponents. Both WBA ranked as well. Surely wouldn’t be able to go PPV with either of them two in the opposite corner.

Saw that fight was lined up. Can’t be PPV against them. The casuals could possibly be drawn to Miller, he’s undefeated, American, and has a big mouth.
