Wallin isn't a horrendous fight. Ideally, they'd bring Frank Sanchez (3 in the WBO) over but that certainly won't happen unless ordered.
Joyce was mandated to fight Kabayel for the European title a few years ago so they’ve got some history. Kabayel vs Kossobutskiy is a good matchup too would be nice to see German boxing put on some meaningful cards again.

I rate Frank Sanchez, I know he’s a little safety first at times but he’s very skilled for a HW. I expect him to be a guy the bigger names in the division avoid.

Would agree with that assessment on Sanchez, certainly not someone the elites would elect to fight unless strictly necessary. Not a style that's going to draw in the viewers either, but he's definitely skilled.

On another note, Mikey Garcia's Instagram bio suggests he's retired. How close is the Benn fight to happening?

Kabayel ducked. Camkiran vs Kossobutskiy has been ordered now

Identical records (even down to the number of knockouts) but based off quality of opposition that seems easy pickings for Kossobutskiy. Shame Kabayel ducked it.

I heard they were in advanced talks. I reckon it would take a lot of £ to get Mikey over to the UK though. He’s been getting crazily overpaid by DAZN in recent years.

Never watched Camkiran tbh man. Any good? Or another Erkan Teper?

It's not a fight I'm particularly interested in, but if they want a name then it certainly fits the bill. Wonder who they'd look at next? I doubt Mikey was the first choice, I think it'd be Thurman but he must be looking elsewhere (I saw an October Ennis fight at Barclays Center tentatively mentioned on another board).

Yeah it’s not a fight I’m interested in either mate. Thurman’s waiting to cash out vs the Spence/Crawford winner IMO. Would love to see him fight Ennis but I’m skeptical to say the least.

Benn opponents are generally very disappointing. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a Guerrero/Broner type who’s absolutely washed but they can use as a name to fool the casuals into believing Benn is legit. The obvious choice for me would be Avanesyan, I know he just ducked Ortiz but I’m sure they’d take the Benn fight.

The Ava fight seems the only reasonable option at this point, very disappointing if it's not him (but we know it won't be - as you say it'll be Guerrero or somebody).
Not sure on Thurman. If Crawford wins, I think he'll go up to 154 and fight Charlo. If Spence wins, Thurman seems a logical opponent. The Ennis fight probably would pay him well (I'd have thought he'd be well into a $1m+ for it).

Bringing it back to UK - have you heard anything about Lerrone Richards? Stuff doing the rounds on Twitter that news is expected soon and that his next fight may not land on DAZN. Great win against Gongora in December and not a peep since. Personally would like to see him in with John Ryder but I understand why they'd never make that, doubt either are big ticket sellers.

I think he’s going to Boxxer. I think a lot of Matchroom fighters will follow suit in the near future. Hearn is in the same tough spot Warren was in back in 2011. Superior roster but inferior platform. Warren infamously had DeGale, Groves, Chisora, Cleverly, Bellew, Brook, Gavin, Saunders, Burns, Crolla, Saunders etc when he jumped from Sky to Boxnation, every single one of those guys jumped back to Sky in the next few years.

I’m fully with you on Ryder vs Richards. It’s the obvious fight to make. Surprised Matchroom never pursued it.
