I think you have to be a "very good" boxer to win a world title, regardless of circumstances.

That's not true at all because we've had some world champions that were not very good...Herring is one of them. People got to understand most people that would make great boxers, never take up boxing. So you just fight whoever they have.

I've seen amateur guys on Youtube street boxing channels that could've beat Herring imo....

Also let's not forget we seen Anderson SIlva beat Chavez Jr. And Paul was able to do a lot better against Floyd than people expected. Even Floyd had to give him his props. At the end of the day boxers aren't gods, their men with 2 arms, being a boxer doesn't mean you cant get beat up by someone who doesn't box professionally ...

He wasn't very good. Like I said most people that have potential to be very good at boxing never take it up. Growing up in the hood I've seen plenty guys like Herring. I don't know what culture you guys are, but If you're Black kid from the inner city you know you grow up fighting this ain't nothing new. Herring would have been nobody special in the hood. and being an Olympian is cool but most those guys don't make it in the pro ranks so it's nothing to really brag on tbh unless you built a reputation. You got middleweights that lost to Porter in the amateurs...

That's sounds all good, but these are street dudes they aren't going through camps with formal training.. If Pielay has that I have no doubt in my mind he'd wash Herring..His natural abilities are already waaay superior than Herring who's always been a stiff up and down boxer...Pielay is just playing around he knew that guy wasn't going to beat him and they are in sand.
