How many Black boxers Herring fought? How many boxers over the height of 5'7 or his own size has he beat? He was 5'9 fighting at 135lbs at age 36 for a reason...

I don't know what culture you guys are, but If you're Black kid from the inner city you know you grow up fighting this ain't nothing new. Herring would have been nobody special in the hood. and being an Olympian is cool but most those guys don't make it in the pro ranks so it's nothing to really brag on tbh unless you built a reputation. You got middleweights that lost to Porter in the amateurs...
That's YOUR dumb ass argument...like most black folks. If you aint from the hood or associated with anything considered "hood," then you're not an elite black man or woman. Dumbest logic I've ever heard- and you somehow think you're dropping knowledge, smh. People being released from jail/prison gets celebrated more than those graduating from college in the black community- This is a well known fact and I'm not the first to say this.

Black folks' "logic" is flawed at best. Hell, we even think another black person that reports a crime is a "snitch" when in fact, they're just law-abiding citizen who witnessed a crime. A snitch is somebody who tells on you but they too were involved in said crime.

Again, black folks and their logic is horrible. There's no reason you should've said this ****** **** about the "hood" and how Herring not measuring up to that would cause him to get beat up when he does this PROFESSIONALLY. It's so scary that the "hood" is all blacks have to measure themselves against....even the high achievers are subject to this half-headed logic.

Herring served the Country, represented us in the Olympics and he's a former world champion. I'd say he pretty good, but keep going through life with that ****** "hood" litmus test and see how far you get.

I said that Black people from the hood grow up fighting in relation to Herring because he is a Black man. I didn't mention anything about being elite or whatever dumb azz BS YOU wrote..TF? You also have Hispanic hoods, white hoods and so on and so forth where they grow up fighting too but that's not the demographic we're talking about.

And stay on topic man, this ain't about snitches, this ain't about college it's about BOXING! That's all I'm speaking on.

Herring served the Country, he went to the Olympics and he's a former world champ, all that is great but the fact still remains that he wasn't really a very good boxer..slow feet, low output and once again like I said if you break down his resume Herring never beat a guy that was his size, and If I'm not mistaken he never beat anyone that was over 5'7. He was 5'9 fighting at 135lbs at 36 years old..He went into most of his fights with a built in size advantage. in addition to that he never really fought any slick Black fighters either, they moved him carefully, I think the few Black fighters he fought outside of Stevenson he had a clear size advantage..

So miss me with all your BS dude, I'm just telling it like it is.....

          Cole.....you ******.

You're clutching at straws to rationalize your ******ity and that can't go unchecked. Why even bring up the hood in the first place? Again, how in THE **** is that a viable litmus test for a guy that does this (boxing) DAILY....at a high level? You seriously can't be this ******.

How is it Herring's fault that the guys he fought weren't above 5'7?! That makes ZERO ****in sense but you had the floor and that's what you brought to the conversation. This is sad but you're comfortable being a sad individual, so I can't make too much of an argument about it.

You gotta be kidding me. A Marine, an Olympian, and a world champion being compared to some street boxer who throws nothing but wide haymakers?

Get off Herring nuts man, it sounds like you're part of his fkn camp. Herring was good, he wasn't very good. There is a difference, it's simple. Shakur Stevenson, that's what I would call a very good boxer. I brought up the hood because I'd bet if kids from the inner city had the resources to get into boxing, you'd come out with boxers a lot better than Herring.

Herring choose to spend his career at the lower weights where he went into just about every pro fight hes had as the bigger man, that was something I noticed about him right away. If you're a very good boxer, then fight guy's your own size and beat someone that's very good, This ain't rocket science fool. I don't know why you even defending that BS he deserves to get called out on that, Herring is listed at 5'10 and I'm wiilling to bet he walks around somewhere north of 150lbs...

I can see you're the type of person to name call, ignore the facts and make excuses for these guy's instead of seeing it for what it is. Who's the best guy on Herring's resume? That say's it all right there.

I think Spence is a good boxer as well, but until I see that dude go up to 154 or face Boots or just someone who genuinely his size or bigger I really won't know what to make of him either so I don't pick and choose same thing goes for any other boxer not just Herring....

Old video...I did post another video of him throwing straight punches. I think Dean the Great would also beat Herring...All this Marine, Olympian and World Champ talk got yall sounding like groupies without actually breaking down and looking a lil closer at what really took place.

Herring went to the Olympics, competed at 141lbs, got the experience and then when he turned pro he competed in lower weight classes where he went into the majority of his fights as the bigger man. So basically he was a weight bully because he should have won a title at 140lbs if he was really that guy..

Herring seems like a good guy you can't take none of his accomplishments away from him, but you can't say no one has the right to criticize a guy, who's an Olympian, listed at 5'10 for not taking on guys that were more his size, that's just ridiculous..That man could've competed at 140lbs If he wanted but he knew he wouldn't have been very good there so cut the BS

Didn't Silva beat Chavez Jr? Silva is nothing but an amateur. Didn't Floyd give Paul his props after that exhibition? Is Paul a pro boxer? Stop thinking these dudes are God or can't get beat because they're pro boxers.

Gonna stop you right there. Most....and I mean MOST inner cities HAVE boxing gyms....and this is coming from someone who regularly has to go on the hunt for local gyms. And most of those gyms are in THE HOOD. Fool.

And get off of Herring's nuts?! Really, dude? Just another shining example of you losing what was already a frail grip on our earlier exchange about black folks praising horrible and ***********al upbringings.

Again, you act like Herring has control over the height of his opponents. And when did Herring become such an A-side move-maker that he could just "pick" his opponents? C'mon, now...this guy practically begged Frampton for a fight (which was already mandated) and he's shorter than Herring. Where was the issue with height then? I mean...most of those guys are lower weights aren't blessed with height, so what's your point again?

No....the question is....who is the best guy on YOUR resume? I'll wait. And nobody's making excuses for anybody, the prognosis is clear. You only see things the way you see them and you're trying to force feed it those who see otherwise.

Just go back to the hood, if they'll have you.

Lies.. there's barely any boxing gyms in my city and you act like the lessons are free, you still need the connections and resources to get to the next level after that..travel expenses ect this ain't a free sport to get involved in..Why do you think we have all these Dad trainers?

I didn't say Herring had control of his opponents height. I said If he was so good he should've fought guy's his own height and size then at 140lbs, He fought at 141lbs in the Olympics did he not? Once again, this ain't rocket science buddy, but it's quite obvious now your not the sharpest knife in the drawer..Herring not having control over the height of his opponents sure sounds like you making an excuse to me.

See, when you grow up and become a man in life, you typically you leave the hood behind and only go back If there's a reason to be there, but you never forget where you came from. It's a lot different from growing up in your Mom's basement where you sit on the internet trolling and making excuses for another grown man...you wouldn't even make it where I'm from lol

If you're not up and informed on things totally then just say that, no need to keep making yourself look ****** here....
