We just finishing watching Babic in a FOTY candidate and then we were forced to watch two women stink the joint out for 12 rounds before the main event.

Sorry if I'm not being politically correct, but 99% of female boxing fights are dull af.

It's hypocritical to promote female boxing but use their gender as a reason for limiting rounds and punishment inflicted.That's why its rare to see a KO and if there is any hint of trouble, the ref steps in too early. Compare that to the UFC, where it's five full minute rounds and the competition is high calibre, fighters like Rose and Schevenko there are even more popular than male fighters. Female boxers can blame sexism all they want, but no...the level is not there (yet) and part of the reason is female boxing with its limits will never be taken seriously.

The talent gap between men and women in boxing is astronomical.

In MMA its not such a big gap because MMA doesn't really require much talent anyway.

The original running order was meant to have Babic just before the main event. Not sure what changed. Maybe some SJW at support thought they should have a womens fight as the main support.

I’d prefer if boxing stuck to womens cards and mens cards separately. I understand putting them on the mens event gives them exposure but then you end up with more than one woman’s fight that nobody is interested in and they feel obliged putting them up high on the card, when in terms of interest they should be on at 5.30pm

If the likes of DAZN are as good at promoting boxing and fighters as they say, then give the women their own shows and promote it.

I was there and the atmosphere was amazing. As soon as the Cameron fight started the crowd were going to the bar, not paying attention. It was a relatively fun fight too, so was a bit disappointing from the crowd. The Scotney fight was good fun. I think the Babic fight spoiled us, and that should've been co main.

Didn't see Babic but I really enjoyed Buatsi and Richards. Best fight I have seen for a while.

I can't remember the last fight where I really felt both men were performing well.

Bad fights recently. Two horrible world title fights last night. I don't think I have ever seen Dignall's name yet alone fight.

I think Cameron has normally been a good watch, I think the issue was the match making. No one has been able to get the other girl out of there so she's durable but not ambitious enough to make a good fight.

As for the women vs men thing, I don't see it that way. Its boxing, two fighrers who have to solve the issues in front of them. Lots of women's boxing is very watchable, albeit a lower standard, but I enjoy boxing at all levels and I think the issue with most posters here is they only watch top level boxing. It's a shame because it means you have no real reference point for levels in boxing.

I agree, I don't like it when they put on a relatively insignificant and boring fight before the main event. It doesn't make it better they're doing this just because they're women. Women also need to fight 3 minute rounds and 12 rounds for title fights without asking for more pay. Become exciting first and drive demand for your fights and the bigger money will come.

It's all about matchmaking. I have seen plenty of female fights that are barn burners. The fight was dull because there was a large skill gap between the opponents and while Bustos was tough, she wasnt all about winning.

Toss Ebanie Bridges against anyone in the chief supporting fight and you will get fireworks. She tries to spark her opponent out and will get tagged often trying to accomplish it.
