One thing I liked in this fight was his jab. That shows me that he should be able to compete at the highest level. But he still needs that signature fight to be compared to Manny. Manny was fighting hall of famers. Benavidez isn’t close to his prime, so the future is bright as long as his focus is on being 100% professional boxer.
Can’t argue with this. Adversity is where you learn about people. Nobody has ever just walked through everyone and never found out what they were actually made of in a great career. I hope he’s in tougher whoever he fights next.
Im with you on the jab. It was by far the punch that stood out in the fight. It has heavy. That’s about all we learned about it in this fight though.
We can see why people would avoid him. He’s young, tall, big, and that’s before you even watch him fight.
He might have to be willing to pick a fight with Bivol or Beterbiev at 175lbs to make a big fight happen.

I agree, both still young so that can be a huge fight one day if both live up to their Potential

On what basis? Sure he's far greener but they are both massive and would go to war with one another surely.

It's a good fight I think even though it doesn't make sense with risk averse business first financial incentives in the modern boxing model. Surely I'm missing like 20 commas in that drunk mess of a sentence but you get what I mean.

Morell was 135-2 as an amateur. No it’s not pro boxing but didn’t Loma and GGG get hyped up quickly based on their amateur pedigree? He’s far from Green

I dunno Ennis is the classiest seek and destroy guy out there right now..

I expect any of the top guys to blow out a blown up guy that's way past it, David got rid of him without issue it was expected, he would be a good fight with Bivol, if he cant get any of the smaller Charlos or Canelo.

Yeah, I was going to mention his amateur career as a counter-argument but it is a slightly different sport. Definitely not irrelevant experience though.

Seriously stop talking about a 6-0 prospect. What other fighter other than prime manny has been as vicious as Benavidez. I can't think of anyone.

Morrell and Loma are no vicious they are more pure boxers than anything.

Benavidez carves his opponents up nicely. He's vicious.
