He very well could be,no questions at 168 though. I can honestly only see Bivol or Beter beating him.

The thing about Lemieux is that at any moment you felt he could change the flow of the fight, especially when he was going balls to the wall after he was dropped. I think Benavidez is a great boxer, but Lemieux's defense was sloppy this fight. And it just takes one punch. Too bad Lemieux wasn't more disciplined. Had he stayed at 154 or 160, he would have had a better career. The thing with Lemieux is that he had no amateur career, which would have helped him be a better boxer in the pros.

Let's see Benavidez fight Charlo or Plant. I think we're ready to see those fights.

Safe to say charlo and plant will get nowhere near Benavidez

              The Mexican monster has arrived!!!!!

I predict Benavidez will inherit Canelo's haters.

Shame how that 3 lettered legend was never pressured into fighting bigger guys, even though he promised his fans he would

Lemieux had an amateur career. He was just very young and knocking out competition at the nationals. Not sure how far he went or if he ever fought in international tournaments. Maybe rushed into the pros too quickly. Turned pro at what 19?

Oh okay. I had read that Russ thought they shouldn't have an extended amateur career. They skipped the Olympics or something like that. But I do remember reading that his amateur career wasn't that extensive. I think it was from an interview with Anber.
