Translation: Ryan can have a world title shot whenever he wants due to his starpower, so De La Hoya is going to continue to match him in-house and a little lighter until that time.

Maybe my standards are low,
but I don't mind the shenanigans when the fight is good.
Fortuna is a step up for Ryan and that's all I ask.
As long as he's matched well,
I can't complain.Comment

Ha! I'm not sure how long these guys get a pass. 135 is stacked with talent at the moment. Kambosos,Haney, and Loma seems to be the only ones willing to prove greatness. IDK what to think about Oscar, I loved him as a fighter and understand the promoter glasses to build a brand but I don't understand how he hasn't been willing to put Zurdo, Munguia, Ryan etc in with top 5 guys when he himself proved you can be both a duper star and an ATG while actually proving it.
I'll still watch I guess!Comment

Knew this fight wouldn't happen. Seems like a convenient way for him to save face. I hope Cruz at least got a nice fat envelope to keep quietComment

Don’t be surprised if Fortuna KOs Ryan. Styles make fights and Fortuna is awkward af with power. I smell an upset here. Curios to see how the odds makers will see this fight unfolding.Comment

I know what you are saying but this is a downgrade from Cruz as some others have already said. I'm not really impressed with Fortuna and, definitely not, after losing to JoJo Diaz. Ryan should fight William Zepeda or even JoJo at least.Comment
