      Is it 2012 or 2022?

Good work but I think everyone knows the deal already.

The only way those that hate Floyd or love Manny can take away from Floyd beating is to criticize things outside the ring.

If they don’t do that, they’d have to just admit they were wrong picking Manny to beat Floyd.

Like I said here ---> I see some people still really think that Floyd waited until Pacquiao was vulnerable before signing on the dotted line.

Having 1 link to the entire thing will help me moving forward.

All I took out of this was that Fraud Jr. made soooooooooooo many demands for the fight. No wonder Pac and team basically said, "f**k this guy" at the end. No "fighter" should dictate a bout in the amount that Fraud Jr. and team were so that they could get the upper hand before the bout ever even started. Thought whatever, it's history now.

Instead we got the greatest farce of a fight when it happened, a good 6 years too late. Even that, Jr. had gone into it with advantages.

One of bob Arum's excuses was that they had to build an entire new stadium in order for the fight to happen and then years latter they just fought at the MGM like they always do and still grossed the highest amount of all time of any fight.

Then when floyd was going to jail that one year, Arum said pac could only fight during the period Floyd would be in jail, floyd went and got the judge to push back his jail start date so they could make the fight and then Arum said oh no some things changed he has to move it yet again.

Arum's excuses were endless with these negotiations.

                • Rumors surface that Mayweather is planning a ring return, the ultimate goal being a mega-fight with Pacquiao.

Less than a year after officially announcing his retirement, rumors quickly begin to surface that Floyd Mayweather is planning his return to the ring. Speaking to Dan Rafael of ESPN.com, two unidentified sources revealed that Mayweather was willing to face anyone, but his ultimate target was a showdown with Manny Pacquiao. "He is coming back. I've been around him. He's ready to dance again very soon," said one source, who recently spent time with Mayweather and has known him for years. "He's itching to go. The way he sounded, he is willing to take on whoever they throw in his face. He would do the [Manny] Pacquiao-[Ricky] Hatton winner, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez. The only one he doesn't have an interest in is [a rematch with] Oscar De La Hoya. But in Floyd's mind, he knows there is one Godzilla, and that's a fight with Pacquiao," one source was quoted as saying.

"I think he's going to fight again. He's not really retired...I heard from Floyd Jr.'s camp that he's coming back to the ring," Pacquiao explained. "For me -- if I'm Floyd -- I would fight a tune-up fight and then fight me," Pacquiao continued. "That's for me, but I don't know what his plan is. He might want to fight me right away."

                • Bob Arum says he's unsure about the idea of matching Manny Pacquiao with Floyd Mayweather at 147 pounds.

As rumors of Floyd Mayweather's return to boxing continue to grow, fans and media alike become infatuated with the idea of a mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao. Promoter Bob Arum, however, tells several members of the media that he's unsure about the possibility of matching Manny Pacquiao with Floyd Mayweather in a welterweight bout. "The question with a Mayweather fight is at what weight? That's the big question. At 140, I don't think there's any problem making that fight. If Floyd wants to come in at a higher weight, I don't know. A catch-weight is a possibility also. But none of that has been discussed and I won't let anyone discuss it until after this fight," Arum explained. "But he could go **** himself. Tell him that! **** Mayweather. Pacquiao's the big attraction. He has to come to us if he wants it. If he doesn't come to us, there's dozens of other guys we can fight."

Despite the fact that he has yet to face Juan Manuel Marquez and negotiations for a Pacquiao fight have yet to begin, rumors already begin to surface that Floyd Mayweather expects a 60-40 split in his favor in order to make a fight with Manny Pacquiao a reality.

Mayweather wants a 60-40 split. He's not going to get that with Manny. I know for sure Manny won't accept anything like that," Roach stated during an interview.

During an in-studio appearance on ESPN's Friday Night Fights, trainer Freddie Roach reiterates to host Brian Kenny that Mayweather will not be getting a 60-40 split in his favor. Furthermore, Roach makes it clear that they don't plan on waiting around for the outcome of Mayweather's bout with Marquez to make a decision on their next move. "But the thing is we're not going to wait for this guy though. If something else comes up for us; he chose to fight somebody else. We're the top dog right now. If he wants to make the kind of money he's talking about, he has to fight Pacquiao because Pacquiao's the draw right now, not Floyd Mayweather...The hardest thing with Mayweather, he wants the 60/40 he's talking about, you know. Pacquiao's the number one guy. 60/40 our way will work. 60/40 his way, it's not happening."

During an online chat with his fans, Floyd Mayweather makes it clear that Manny Pacquiao will never get a 50/50 split of the purse against him. "Pacquiao will never get 50/50. It'll be a cold day in hell before that happens," Mayweather stated, pointing to his pay-per-view numbers as proof that he's indeed the bigger draw. "We deal with facts. When he fought Oscar, he did 1.25 [million]. When I fought Oscar, we did 2.5 [million]. Against Hatton, they did 800 [thousand] and change. I did 930 [thousand] for the same fight. I did over a million in the UK and they did less than half of that."

"Floyd is not the attraction. Manny is the attraction. Floyd's got no idea what he's talking about," Arum continued as he countered Mayweather's comments about being the bigger draw. "Even a 50/50 split with Floyd Mayweather is nonsense."

Revealing that he had a number of options, including Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel, and of course Floyd Mayweather, Pacquiao insisted that he would not back down from any of them, but would not choose one in particular, instead leaving the decision in the hands of his team. "There's a lot of opponents who want to try and fight me because of my rank as the number one pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. I will not back down nor choose anyone. Just as long as my team chooses wisely and everything is fair and right, I will not back down," he commented.

"I would like for him [Cotto] to fight Manny Pacquiao...That would be a tremendous fight and I hope we can get it done for November," Arum stated. "I talked preliminarily with the Cotto people face-to-face at a meeting in Tampa when he was training for the [Joshua] Clottey fight...I laid out everything. Hopefully we'll have their answer and get it resolved with them by the end of the week. Both guys want to fight each other. When that happens, generally it can all come together."

"If Manny really does want to fight me, all he's got do to is say it. We can pay Marquez to step aside, we can pay him $1 million. Is you ready? Let me know," Mayweather commented. He also made it clear that if the fight does take place, he will not be splitting the purse 50-50 with Pacquiao. "Bob Arum wants 50-50, that's why we'll never get that fight...We don't like to negotiate our personal business, but everybody knows [Pacquiao] is not going to get a 50-50 with Floyd Mayweather," he reiterated. "He hasn't done anything that I haven't done. He just followed behind me. It's like a T-bone steak. I eat all the meat off the steak and they threw him the bone...He hasn't called me out. I'm not hard to find. I ain't worried about him. With or without him, I'm comfortable. I'm happy. He don't make me. I don't chase opponents. Opponents chase me. "The fight that should be made is Mayweather and Shane Mosley, but Mayweather won't take that fight. He won't take any fight where there is any possibility where he might lose," Arum would tell Rick Reeno of BoxingScene.com. "Money is secondary with him. He will not take a chance like a normal fighter. He cares more about his legacy and being able to retire undefeated so he could say that he never lost a fight." Arum also made it clear that he would not entertain anything less than a 50/50 split of the purse if they began negotiations after the Cotto bout. Negotiations would hit another minor bump in the road after Pacquiao confirmed his decision to run for Congress in the May 2010 general elections. HBO was hoping to target May 1st as the date for the potential showdown, but Pacquiao's candidacy for the May elections would've made it difficult for him to properly train for his toughest challenge inside the ring. Pacquiao was willing to fight sooner, in March, but Mayweather preferred the later date. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, would reveal that promoter Bob Arum informed him that the bout would likely be pushed back to September.

"I am not here to interfere with his political life and March 13 doesn't.if he lets Mayweather off the hook now by not agreeing to the March 13 date because of politics here in this country, then we are never going to get him (Mayweather) in the ring," Arum explained.

After meeting with Arum, Pacquiao agreed to terms for a March 13th clash. "I had a meeting this morning and we went over all the points and now I have to go back to the United States and sit with the Mayweather people and finalize some very minor aspects and then we'll have an announcement sometime next week," Arum proclaimed. Pacquiao's advisor, Michael Koncz, would reiterate that there were still some minor details that needed to be ironed out, stating, "Manny has some additional requirements, requests, which Arum didn't think was a problem." The "minor details" would be revealed later.

According to Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach, the "very minor" details that still needed to be ironed out were the weight limit and glove size, as Mayweather allegedly only agreed to fight at 154 pounds with 10 oz. gloves. "There's always negotiations, like he [Mayweather] wants 10 oz. gloves, we want 8 oz. gloves, stuff like that; the weight he wants is 154 lb., we want 147, so there's some issues, but I think it can be solved. It's a tough fight because his style does give us difficulties, and we need to draft a plan for a new strategy. Yes, it's a tough fight, but it's a fight Manny wants."

According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, Manny Pacquiao officially signed a contract to face Floyd Mayweather. Just one day prior, it was reported that although both sides had agreed to initial terms, there were still some "minor details" that needed to be ironed out. According to Rafael, however, those details were apparently resolved and the Filipino icon allegedly put pen to paper to face Mayweather on March 13 in a welterweight (147-pound) bout using 8 oz. gloves for an agreed upon 50-50 split of the purse.

Oops! At least that's probaby what Dan Rafael of ESPN was thinking after just reporting that Pacquiao had indeed signed a contract to face Mayweather. "We haven't signed anything, although we think that that is a formality. But that won't happen until the end of negotiations," Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz would explain to Lem Satterfield of AOL Fanhouse. Pacquiao himself would confirm that statement. When asked directly if he had signed any contracts, Pacquiao replied, "No, because there are still some things that need to be negotiated. That would be premature and foolish. Nobody ever brought us a contract to sign. We agreed to everything in principle, but there are still some finer points that need to be negotiated." Those "fine points" would later be revealed.

Fearing that Mayweather may not make the agreed upon welterweight limit of 147 pounds, one of the "minor details" and "fine points" that Team Pacquiao requested was a weight penalty that would force Mayweather to pay $10 million for every pound over the maximum allowable weight. "Our concern is that Floyd might come in at 150 lbs during the official weigh-in (on the eve of the fight). Of course, we will not let this pass. We will put that particular provision in the contract," Pacquiao's lawyer, Franklin Gacal, explained. Without hesitation, Mayweather would agree to the request.

Furious with Mayweather's unwillingness to change his stance on random blood testing, Arum declared the fight was off and that Pacquiao would be facing a different opponent. "We're going in a different direction. What I believe is that Floyd never really wanted the fight and this is just harassment of Pacquiao. We appeased Mayweather by agreeing to a urine analysis at any time, and blood testing before the press conference and after the fight. Mayweather pressed for blood testing even up to the weigh-in. He knew that Manny gets freaked out when his blood gets taken, and feels that it weakens him. This is just harassment and, to me, just signaled that he didn't want the fight," Arum would tell David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press as he explained why he immediately rejected the request for random blood tests. "Nevada has stringent drug testing, right before the fight and after the fight. This is all a bunch of hooey and nonsense...Manny Pacquiao doesn't know anything about drugs. This is just typical nastiness by wise guys like (adviser Leonard) Ellerbe and Mayweather. They're just wise guys. I don't think Schaefer's to blame. "Manny has told me he doesn't want to be harassed. We're not jumping through hoops for Mayweather. I'm not going to take this," Bob Arum would remark, referring to Mayweather's request for random Olympic-style drug testing. Instead, Arum explained Pacquiao would only agree to blood tests more than 30 days before the fight and right after the fight. Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, would tell Lance Pugmire of the LA Times that he had no problems with the blood testing so long as they ended either 1 week or 72 hours before the bout. Leonard Ellerbe also revealed to Lance Pugmire that, according to officials at USADA, Pacquiao would not have to give a blood sample the day before the bout during the weigh-in. Despite agreeing that USADA wasn't likely to request a sample the day before the fight, Arum stood firm on his position, insisting that if Floyd Mayweather did not drop his demands for Olympic-style drug testing, the highly-anticipated clash would be off and Pacquiao would move forward to face a different opponent. Arum also instructed members of his staff to begin "working on another fight with Manny." Names that were tossed around included Yuri Foreman, Paulie Malignaggi and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Just hours later on the same day, Top Rank sends out a press release explaining their position on Mayweather's request for random Olympic-style drug testing. In it, Arum clarified that Pacquiao was willing to submit to as many random urine tests requested, but as far as random blood tests are concerned, he was only willing to subject himself to 3 tests: one in JANUARY, one 30 days from the bout (no later than February 13), and immediately after the fight. "Let's be very clear on the real issues we differ on. It's not about being tested. Manny is onboard with that since it's such a major concern of Floyd Mayweather, Jr. It's about who does the testing and the scheduling of the procedures. Manny will submit to as many random urine tests requested. Regarding the blood tests, he will subject himself to three tests; one given in JANUARY during the week the fight is formally announced, one thirty days from the fight, no later than February 13, and the final one immediately following the fight, in Manny's locker room. The major issue related to the testing rests with which independent agency will administer these tests. The United States Anti Doping Agency (USADA) cannot do it because they will not amend its procedures to accommodate the blood testing schedule we have outlined. USADA, under its guidelines, would have the right to administer random blood tests as many times as they want up to weigh-in day and that is ludicrous," Arum explained.

Despite the efforts of HBO Sports President Ross Greenburg to bring both sides together through mediation, Arum, who voluntarily removed himself from the negotiation process nearly two weeks prior, was no longer willing to continue working towards an agreement as long as Schaefer was still involved. "I called up Ross and I said, 'I'm not going to take part in any mediation or anything. I'm not going to deal with Richard Schaefer on instructions from my client. He's demeaned and libeled my client for no damn reason. And I'm just not going to take part in it. If they want to come back and have someone else represent them -- [Mayweather's adviser] Leonard Ellerbe -- or anybody else they want, then we can sit down and do this the right way with the Nevada Athletic Commission having complete jurisdiction over everything," Arum explained, reiterating that the only testing they would agree to was the testing already done by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. "Then, we would agree to pre-fight testing, urine analysis, blood-testing, whatever it took to get this fight done," said Arum. "But we'd only do it with the Nevada Athletic Commission. In response to Bob Arum declaring that the fight was off, Team Mayweather revealed that they were willing to work towards a cut-off date so long as random blood tests are still conducted leading up to that date. "What we're saying, and what is important to us, is four things: that the tests be random, that they include blood and urine and the time frame, meaning when do you stop the tests before the fight but know they will still be effective. Three of them we have agreed on: random, blood and urine. So now it is a matter of the two sides working out the specifics of the cutoff date to assure it will still be effective USADA is the most recognized one, but if it's another one, like the Nevada commission, we don't really care. I don't care who performs the tests as long as they are performed. That's our position. If this fight doesn't happen it's not because of Team Mayweather," Richard Schaefer commented, also explaining that they had no problem with the Nevada State Athletic Commission handling the testing, just so long as the random blood tests were indeed conducted. Arum, however, still angered by the request, revealed that Team Pacquiao's offer to take 3 blood tests was off the table and the only testing they would agree to was the standard testing performed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which has no protocols for random blood testing and typically only conducts one urine test right before and right after the fight. "If they go to the commission and they ask for blood tests and the commission says yes, we will do whatever the commission says. The commission says blood testing, we'll do blood testingLet the commission tell us how many days in front they want blood. Let the commission pick a date to stop taking blood. We trust the commission. Blood testing, we think, is unnecessary, but fine, we'll do it. But let the commission set the parameters," Arum explained.

In a move to counter Golden Boy Promotions, Top Rank quickly sent out their own press release with comments from an infuriated Manny Pacquiao. In it, Pacquiao accuses Team Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions of lying and reiterated his willingness to abide by the normal drug testing policies of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which do not include provisions for random blood testing. "I can't believe these guys can lie without batting an eyelash and they would even make it appear that I am the culprit for the delay of the fight and saying that I don't want it to happenLiars go to hell. They should be man enough and own up to their wordsI want to put this on the record again, that I will abide by the NSAC requirements like in all of the fights in boxing history, including all of my fights," Pacquiao would comment in the press release.

Pacquiao issues another statement, this one independent of Top Rank, defending himself and explaining his stance on having his blood drawn while at the same time repeatedly professing his innocence and lack of knowledge regarding steroids and performance enhancing drugs. "My concern has never been with someone randomly checking me with regards to blood or urine. I volunteered immediately to have my urine tested anytime someone wanted to, all the way up to the time I am walking into the ringAs I have stated before I have never used anabolic steroids nor do I even know what they look likeMy concern as a fighter is that there should be some limitations and agreements on how much blood they can take from someone prior to a fight. My other concern is how close to the actual fight itself can they take the blood. It is my opinion taking blood from a person can weaken you. I do not want to be in a weakened state when I enter the ring against any fighter," he would repeat.

Pacquiao officially filed a lawsuit in Nevada federal court against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather, Mayweather Promotions LLC, and Golden Boy Promotions executives Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer for making false and defamatory statements accusing Pacquiao of taking performance-enhancing drugs. The lawsuit claimed the Mayweathers, De La Hoya, and Schaefer knew that Pacquiao had never taken performance-enhancing drugs, knew their statements were false, but made them anyway out of "ill-will, spite, malice, revenge, and envy."

After hours of negotiating during mediation, Arum declared that the fight was officially off after Mayweather refused to agree to a 24-day cut-off date, which Team Pacquiao had agreed to after it was discovered that he had given blood 24 days prior to his May 2nd bout with Ricky Hatton. "The proposal that the mediator put forth and recommended the Mayweather camp was very simple: They would be allowed to do the blood-testing within up to 24 days of the fight, and the tests would be supervised, pursuant to the guidines of the Nevada State Athletic Commission's jurisdiction, and that they [Mayweather's camp] would give a statement of full apology in regard to comments made about Manny and their false allegations that he had been taking performance enhancing drugs. I was informed by Arum about 30 minutes ago that that was flatly refused by the Mayweather people, and that's a rejection of the recommendation of the arbitrator, so we're not going to stay around and wait, because we have nothing to negotiatiate," said Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz.

Despite the fact that Team Pacquiao walked away from negotiations and were set to sign a contract to face Joshua Clottey, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer still held out hope that a bout with Mayweather could be made, suggesting that Pacquiao himself was never made aware that Mayweather was willing to agree to a 14-day cut-off date. "There are reports [on the Internet] that Manny is not aware of this and we want to make certain that he knows what Floyd has agreed to do," Schaefer said. Evidently, on December 30, Golden Boy executive Bruce Binkow offered a 14-day cut-off via text message to Top Rank president Todd duBoef, who simply replied on the following day, "14 is no good." Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz confirmed that promoter Bob Arum contacted him with the offer, but Pacquiao himself turned it down. "Bob called and told us about the 14 days and I brought that to Manny and he said, 'I told you, we're not agreeing to that,' and that was pretty much it," Koncz said. Bob Arum would also confirm that notion, stating, "That offer was rejected a long time ago. It was off the table. They are just trying to get under Manny's skin."

But we will never agree to that," remarked Gacal, who said he had heard that Mayweather now wanted a bigger share due to the the success of his pay-per-view bout with Mosley, which resulted in 1.4 million buys compared to the 700,000 buys Pacquiao did his previous bout with Joshua Clottey. It could have been just spur of the moment, him saying he was taking a year or two years off. I'm sure, if it is true, he will make that statement in the proper way which is to put out a press release," Arum would tell Michael Marley of Examiner.com. He would also repeat those comments to the ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, stating, "I'm saying, that's Floyd being Floyd. Until there's an official release saying that, I choose to believe differently."

Hours before Game 4 of the 2010 NBA Finals, Oscar De La Hoya suggests that negotiations for a mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are close to being finalized. Speaking to Spanish sport show República Deportiva via satellite in front of the STAPLES Centers, De La Hoya briefly talked about the current status of negotiations and, with a grin on his face, hinted that the two sides were extremely close to making the biggest fight in boxing a reality. "These negotiations have been real difficult for various reasons, but we're really close to finalizing the contracts, even though they've been complicated," he commented. "Today, I can't really talk about the negotations, but we're really close."

"We have been informed that Bob Arum is not interested in pursuing a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao at this time...The truth of the matter is that we received this afternoon an email from retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein, who has informed us that Top Rank is pursuing a rematch with Marquez and, therefore, is not interested in immediate talks for a possible Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. This is obviously as clear as it can be that they have no intentions of making a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight," Schaefer explained. "Judge Weinstein is respected by both parties and mediated issues between Top Rank and Golden Boy before, so the plan was to see if he could help facilitate such a fight. Floyd's team really wanted to get this fight done. • Bob Arum clarifies that although he is pursuing a fourth fight with Marquez, he hasn't made a definite decision.

"We are pursuing a fourth fight with Marquez. As far as doing anything definitively, we aren't ready to do anything definitively. When we are ready to make a determination of what we are going to do, we will do it. We are not going to do this in the press. We will do what is in the best interest of ourselves and our client and make a decision when it's time to. If we decide we want to do a rematch with Marquez, there is no reason to sit down with Mayweather. If we want to explore a Mayweather fight, we will sit down with them. But I'm not going to sit down with them just because it's a good show," Arum explained. "Everybody is jumping to conclusions. Schaefer put out some statement that we said that we weren't going to pursue a meeting with Mayweather because we've decided on a fourth fight, but we haven't said anything like that. What I've said is that we're going to make a decision when the time comes to make a decision."

"As to whom our next opponent is or whether Marquez IV, we are going to take a few days and relax. Let Manny enjoy his family and then we will sit down and talk. There is no rush. We usually don't make a decision as to our next fight, when we fight in November, until after the Christmas holiday," Koncz would tell Keith Terceira of MP8.ph, Manny Pacquiao's official website, just last week. He would echo those exact same comments to Lem Satterfield of RingTV.com. "There's no need to rush into anything. We're not going to rush judgement about who we're going to fight or when we're going to fight. After the holiday season, we'll get with Bob Arum and discuss options. The facts of the matter are that Manny Pacquiao just went through a very difficult fight. As always, we'll take a couple of weeks just to relax. Manny will enjoy his family," Koncz explained. "We haven't even discussed anything with our promoter, Bob Arum, nor will we intend to discuss with our promoter, Bob Arum, anything about any fights probably until after the Christmas holiday. If anybody is inclined to come to us with a reasonable offer to fight, they can reach out to myself or to Bob Arum, but Manny is going to take some time off that he rightfully deservers. It's that simple. Period."

It's always about what's best for Bob and his agenda...Let me ask you something, why is it that Bob can do a co-promotion with everybody else out there? He can do a co-promotion with anyone, DiBella, this guy, that guy, but he won't do a co-promotion when it comes to Manny Pacquiao fighting somebody. Whoever Manny fights, he has to fight in-house. Why is that do you think? I wonder why," a heated Ariza would comment. "I know that Michael Koncz says that he's having a meeting with Bob to negotiate the Mayweather fight. They're having a meeting on how to make sure that this fight doesn't happen. That's what their meeting is about...We still are sticking firm. I think that's the fight that everybody wants to see. Here's the thing, Dana White is 100% absolutely correct. Bob Arum is a greedy pig. Now I see...Arum hates Floyd Mayweather, can't stand him, doesn't want to see him make a dollar, can't stand Golden Boy, doesn't want to do business with them, but instead of doing what's best for the sport, what's best for the fans, and what's best for the fighters because they'll get the payday of a lifetime, no, it's all about him...Unless you can tell me and convince me otherwise, because I'm thoroughly convinced and believe that Floyd really does want to have this fight. "Bob made it clear through [retired judge and mediator] Dan Weinstein that he wants to get a Marquez versus Pacquiao fight done and has no interest at this point to sit down and get a Mayweather fight done. Shortly after receiving the text message, FightHype released details about the background of Carl Harris and the offer that his investment group presented to Top Rank Promotions nearly 8 months prior to getting his meeting with Arum. That's why I'm able to put together $150 million for this fight and convince them to allow me to pay $25 milllion up front and show our seriousness on the fight. In a phone conversation, Mayweather states that "absolutely no negotiations are taking place" and makes it clear that any negotiation that does take place will involve his adviser, Al Haymon, as well as Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe. Mayweather also said that whatever is being put out to the media regarding himself is a lie and that he's convinced that Bob Arum does not want to make the fight because there's no need to talk to investors for a fight that does not need any. Mayweather would further discuss details of Koncz's visit to the gym, explaining that his uncles, Jeff and Roger Mayweather, were simply being used by individuals who were looking to get close to him in hopes of pushing their own agenda. Just as Ellerbe explained, Mayweather said he was simply shaking out at the gym when his Uncle Jeff asked him if some guy could in. Not wanting to be rude, Mayweather obliged, thinking that it was simply a fan wanting to take a picture. At which point, Koncz walked in, introduced himself, and immediately began talking about making a fight. Having absolutely no idea who he was, it was the fist time that Mayweather had ever heard the name Michael Koncz, so he politely let him finish his pitch before informing him that there was absolutely nothing to talk about until his defamation lawsuit is cleared up. Mayweather would also dispute the claim that his fiancee, Shantel Jackson, was the niece of Joe Jackson, stating, "Miss Jackson is no kin to Joe Jackson, does not know Joe Jackson, and does not get involved in my boxing business."

"Nobody has a date for anything. That's nonsense. The question is if a Floyd Mayweather-Pacquiao fight can be arranged. That's fine. It doesn't necessarily have to be on May 5. I mean, if Floyd wants to fight Pacquiao, maybe another date is preferrable, given the fact that Pacquiao had a serious cut in the last fight, so there's no magic in May 5 as far as we're concerned," Arum would tell reporters at the post-fight press conference following the rematch between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito.

Despite the fact that Floyd Mayweather already has the MGM Grand Garden Arena on hold for his next fight, set to take place on May 5, 2012, Bob Arum suggests that Mayweather's legal issues might prevent him from being able to face Manny Pacquiao on that date. "Mayweather really can't commit anything now, because next week, he's before the courts. So if the trial is going to happen, he can't do the fight," Arum would tell Ronnie Nathanielsz of the Manila Standard Today.

                  • Reports surface claiming that the bout is nearly finalized after Mayweather agreed to terms.

According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, sources informed him that the much-anticipated clash was already nearly finalized and reportedly set for March 13, 2010. No specifics details on the purse split, weight, or gloves were given, but Mayweather apparently agreed to all terms for a March 13 showdown, and Cowboys Stadium, the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the New Orleans Superdome were all venues said to be in the running to host the mega-fight at the time.

"March 13 is too fast a turnaround. Manny has a broken eardrum. I'd like to have more time," stated Freddie Roach when asked to comment on the status of negotiations. Roach seemed reluctant for Pacquiao to face Mayweather in March so soon after his November clash with Miguel Cotto. Arum, however, insisted that the fight must take place sooner rather than later due to Pacquiao's plans to run for Congress.

We will put that particular provision in the contract," Pacquiao's lawyer, Franklin Gacal, explained. Without hesitation, Mayweather would agree to the request.

We need to find out what it means if you cut off testing 14 days before the fight. I want to talk to Al Haymon and Leonard."

On the same day that the video was discovered, Golden Boy Promotions sent out a press release blaming both Manny Pacquiao and promoter Bob Arum for attempting to walk away from negotiations. The focus was primarily on Pacquiao's refusal to participate in random blood testing, making comments like, "The fact is that he did have blood taken just 14 days prior to his fight with Ricky Hatton, an event which was documented on HBO's 24/7 reality showLet it be very clear that nobody from Team Mayweather or Golden Boy Promotions is accusing Pacquiao of anything. But the reality seems to be that for whatever reason Pacquiao does not want to participate in random blood testing, which has already been deemed a harmless procedure that many current athletes are subjected to prior to and during competitionTeam Mayweather and Golden Boy Promotions is still open to the earlier discussions of having both parties work out a mutually agreeable understanding of the testing, which would be conducted by a mutually agreed upon agency."

Perhaps in a move to show their commitment to drug testing, the Nevada State Athletic Commission ordered both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to take an immediate "out-of-competition" urine test. "It's a start," said Executive Director Keith Kizer. "I don't know if this will help the chances of the fight happening. But with all this talk of drug tests, let's actually do one." The commission called on Pacquiao and Mayweather to submit to urine tests within 48 hours or they would face possible fines or suspension. Pacquiao complied immediately, taking the test the next day in front of cameras and reporters.

"It's the Cotto fight they should look at and not the Clottey fight. Why are they shooting their mouths off," an angered Arum would tell Ronnie Nathanielsz of BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard when he first received word of the comments made by Gacal and Pineda regarding rumors that Mayweather was demanding a bigger purse. "They (statements) are more than irritating, because so much of this is ego and when you say that if he (Mayweather) says this Manny Pacquiao is not going to fight, that's not the way you negotiate."

While conducting a video interview during the event, Mayweather nonchalantly broke the news that he was taking the rest of the year off. "At this particular time, Floyd Mayweather is taking probably a year off, a couple of years off, from the sport of boxing. I don't really know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather at this particular time, but, you know, I can probably take a couple of years off," he would explain to the reporter.

He'll take it for the money. I'm sure he'll take it for the money. Why wouldn't he," Arum quipped. "I don't know who's gonna buy it (Mayweather vs Morales). But that's the whole nonsense is all about...They bull****ted the MGM to get the date, to get May 5. So they cut us out of getting May 5. But we don't need May 5 because we're not fighting a Spanish guy next. But they want May 5 because they're fighting Morales."

                  • Immediately following Manny Pacquiao's narrow victory over Juan Manuel Marquez, Bob Arum suggests a fourth fight between the two should take place in May.

"I do fights in Mexico. There are a lot of angry Mexicans out there. I want a fourth fight. I want to be safe when I go to Mexico," Arum would comments at the post-fight press conference. "My advice to all of the parties involved is for an immediate rematch. It was a great fight." Arum also suggested the fight should take place in May, telling Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports, ""It was a great, great fight. I had Manny, but it was close, so why not bring them together again in May? It makes a lot of sense to do that."

                  • Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer reveals that they contacted Bob Arum to begin negotiations, but Arum turned them down because he plans on pursuing a fourth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez.

If you just sit down with Arum, he can at any time have one of his fits, one of his '**** you' attacks, and the likelihood that he would have a '**** you' attack in front of a retired judge seemed less likely than if Arum and me would be alone in a room."

He can do a co-promotion with anyone, DiBella, this guy, that guy, but he won't do a co-promotion when it comes to Manny Pacquiao fighting somebody. Whoever Manny fights, he has to fight in-house. Shortly after receiving the text message, FightHype released details about the background of Carl Harris and the offer that his investment group presented to Top Rank Promotions nearly 8 months prior to getting his meeting with Arum. "I put the offer together and I have a group of investors from Los Angeles as far as China backing me on my position on this fight. That's why I'm able to put together $150 million for this fight and convince them to allow me to pay $25 milllion up front and show our seriousness on the fight. A lot of people are saying, "Who are these people?" Okay, that's irrelevant. That's why the there's the $25 million up front, so we can be taken seriously and let people know we're dead serious," Harris first explained in an interview conducted in June. • Falcon Hawk Entertainment sends out a press release claiming a breakthrough on "Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight".

Shortly after their identity went public, Falcon Hawk Entertainment sends a press release out to, initially, just two people, Michael Marley and FightHype's own Ben Thompson, providing more details of their visit with Mayweather and claiming "the gym meeting was a confirmation by both camps to move forward with negotiations after Falcon Hawk Entertainment assured through its investors to work along side with Bob Arum's Top Rank and Mayweather Promotions to bring the successful Welterweight Fight of the Century." The press release, which appeared to be rushed as it was full of grammatical errors, also claimed that Shantel Jackson, the finacee of Mayweather, was the niece of Joseph Jackson.

                  • Floyd Mayweather says lies are being told; denies negotiations are taking place.

Shortly after getting off the phone with Mayweather, FightHype.com was told by a source that this is not the first time that Donny Rucker had tried to pitch an offer for the fight. On two previous occassions, he had already been turned down.

                  • Bob Arum again suggests that the May 5 date may be too soon for Pacquiao.

According to Bob Arum, the cut that Manny Pacquiao sustained in his November 12 bout against Juan Manuel Marquez may not be healed in time for him to face Floyd Mayweather on the proposed May 5 date.

                  • Falcon Hawk Entertainment releases pictures from visit to Mayweather's gym as "proof" that some kind of meeting did in fact take place.

Michael Marley releases two pictures, obtained from Falcon Hawk Entertainment, taken during their visit to Floyd Mayweather's gym. One picture shows Floyd Mayweather in handwraps apparently untieing his shoes, flanked by Michael Koncz on one side of him and Joe Jackson on the other side. The other picture shows Joe Jackson posing with Floyd Mayweather. According to Marley, the meeting "ended the Cold War between the two camps. They broke through a key boxing barrier."

                  • Bob Arum suggests Floyd Mayweather's legal issues may prevent him from fighting.

                  • Richard Schaefer reiterates that no negotiations are taking place; says Bob Arum is lying to fool Manny Pacquiao.

"He can say whatever he wants. I'm astonished that some media members still give credibility to what comes out of his mouth. What Arum is saying, it's pretty sad. He's such a liar," Schaefer would tell Robert Morales of the Los Angeles Daily news. "He is making up all these stories. He is fooling some of these media members over and over again. I couldn't care less what he says. He's lying and that's all I have to say about it. There are no negotiations; they don't want to do it. He is probably doing it to fool Pacquiao, to make him think there is something going on. There is nothing going on."

Speaking to Jay Dayupay of ABS-CBN News, Manny Pacquiao reveals that he heard Floyd Mayweather was asking for $100 million. "I heard he's asking $100 million. That's what he's asking for which is why the fight is not yet done," Pacquiao commented.

Manny Pacquiao announces that he's willing to take a smaller purse than Floyd Mayweather in order to make the mega-fight a reality. "Walang problema kahit na mas maliit ang premyo ko. Ang importante ay matuloy lang ang laban," Pacquiao would relay to Manila Bulletin journalist Nick Giongco from his home in General Santos City, which loosely translated means, "I have no problem taking smaller prize. The important thing is making the fight."

Instead we got the greatest farce of a fight when it happened, a good 6 years too late. Even that, Jr. had gone into it with advantages.
These 238 sources clearly show Pac ducked Mayweather under the supervision of TR and guidance of matchmaker Bruce Trampler. Bruce knew Manny could never beat Floyd so they created one roadblock after another. Luckily for people like myself and great book-keepers over at Fighthype, we have this comprehensive case study of duckery!

What you're referring to is stock baseed on my copy/paste. I made all the red a certain red because it made some red hyperlinks and a lot black ---> basically the forum guts are broken so I manually made all hyperlinks red for easier viewing. The blue made itself blue but not all the time so on those attributes, I made sure all blue were a standard blue.

But the black, I did nothing but copy/paste the text. I'm not using the dark theme atm.
