While Canelo looked flabby at 175 vs Bivol, I don’t think he can make 160 safely. Making weight isn’t just cut and dry like that. Like if you are too small for Heavyweight, doesn’t mean you can go down to Cruiserweight. You may need to go down to “Bridgerweight”.

Mayweather was too small for 154 when he fought DLH. That does not mean he could safely make 140lbs at that time.

Same thing with Canelo. Being too small for 175, doesn’t mean he needs to go back down to 160. It is clear as day to see the physical disadvantages Canelo had vs Kovalev and Bivol.

How about Crawford goes up to 160 and shows he has some balls after all? This is rich coming from a Crawford fan. As if Crawford goes around fighting top guys with difficult styles. At 154-160 Canelo already fought Lara, GGG 2x, Jacobs, Mayweather, Cotto, Trout. He’s proven he likes taking on challenges. Fans can’t say the same of Crawford. One of his top 3 best wins is still little ass Gamboa who came up in weight. Crawford’s resume doesn’t come close to touching Canelo’s, even with Canelo’s losses and so-called controversial decisions.
