I don't see the relevancy of that question though.....unless you are going to attempt to use some elementary "I know more about boxing than you" approach.
Ok fine, no I'm not one of those types, but let me put it to you this way. Canelo wanted to be the pressure fighter that night, fair enough, But to be a good pressure fighter you need to jab early and often in order to stabilize the guy on the outside, control him on the ropes, block his escape routes. To me in a fight where the effective punches are even, even giving you that much although I disagree I thought Lara's punches were much cleaner and crisper, you can't expect to win the ring generalship and effective aggression category if you're the pressure fighter but not throwing a jab and allowing the other guy to stick and move all night.

Just my opinion. But many people who know boxing agree.

But if your opponent uses a stick and move strategy you must jab early and must jab often.

Lara didn't school Canelo. In a 6 rounds fight maybe, but the second half he ran. That's what I remember.

A jab is a multi faceted tool. It can be used to keep some from coming in, create distance, measure distant, set up shots, etc etc.......but that is neither here nor there. My comment wasn't to convince you that Canelo won (since I actually had it a draw with a warranted rematch).

My original comment was how was this fight a "schooling" when even by compubox the Total Punches was only 10 apart.

To me he schooled him as far as footwork and showed the blueprint for beating a pressure fighter, even if it's not a great one. This isn't a knock on Canelo because he really is a boxer puncher not a pressure fighter. He's a great boxer puncher, poor pressure fighter.

I had it 8-4 for Lara, but I don't care about the word schooling, I don't think I have to say in my opinion that he got schooled by I do believe that he won convincing.

The Trout and Cotto fights were actually alot closer than the Lara fight.
Running lmao. These are the same fans who when mikey Garcia ran all night against Salido called him the Mexican Mayweather. Called Lomachenko a matrix, post videos of Tyson fury sticking and moving. Say that Canelo dominated the first GGG fight. But when Lara effectively uses stick and move it's "running."

I think this would be a great fight since Canelo they say is too small for 175. He can go back to 160 and let's see if he's actually improved.

All Terencebudcharlo poster does is troll canelo threads day n night. Not realizing he's just contributing to canelos popularity.

Lara didn't win the first and he won't win a 2nd fight ever. Canelo is not too small for 175 only haters like you say that.

Lol. These Canelo haters fill out their scorecards a week or two in advance before a Canelo fight. They have Canelo down by 3 rounds before the ring walk begins.

Lara ran all night. He got his face all busted up and ran. These Gayweather fans are so used to marathons they think Lara won.
