Well I haven't said anything about them until now, but they're still here.

I'm not arguing with you. Just saying it probably wont change unless a bunch of people sign a petition and make them take notice, for insatnce. Until then, it's built into the boxing sustem, with sportswriters and most fans all talking about those belts.

WBC just about as big a joke, just not bought like the WBA is with Haymon. They are not as dumb but they got their favorites, they attach themselves to boxers. WBA needs to answer how Santa Cruz has his belt but Taylor was stripped. What is the reasoning?

Everyone knows why Santa Cruz has his belt.

Because he did the WBA a favor by moving up to super featherweight, winning that belt, and then selling it to Davis.

Neither Santa Cruz nor his opponent had any business in a super featherweight title fight. Neither guy was ranked by any independent organization in the division at the time of the fight.

So Santa Cruz agrees to knock over a bum for that belt and the WBA then gets their sanctioning fees for that fight as well as Santa Cruz vs Davis. In exchange, Santa Cruz gets to call himself a "four division" champion with his paper belt and he gets a free shot at Davis with no consequences. If he wins, great. If he loses, he goes back to featherweight where he always belonged in the first place. And that's how we got here.

Sulaiman has a good point, although the WBC haven't done things all well either.

It's quite sad that the title of undisputed champion is over in that light welterweight division, especially for Catterall, who was robbed against Taylor.

Plenty of the belts the PBC have are gotten like this. Incoming PBC to fight for that WBA title stripped off Taylor, now they can hold it hostage.

How are they going to strip Taylor for not fighting Pollo, but mandate Pollo fight grandpa for the vacant title? At least face Prograis, Matias, or that level of opposition.

I hear what you’re saying and you’re right but the negative things you post about the WBC are even more true about the WBA.
