I don't think that anybody is saying that CompuBox is perfect. Or that it has NASA-levels of technology.

It is a tool. And that tool becomes more effective/useful the more and more data you put into it.

It is an LLN scenario. Agreed?

Floyd landed about a hundred more punches than Oscar did. If someone was really watching the fight, they would see that Oscar was soundly outboxed, and DLH landed very few clean shots.

It's always entertaining to me to see Floyd's detractors say "he got a SPLIT decision". As if FMJ has fault that one judge got it totally wrong.
We're on the same damn page. We suddenly had an influx of very young members after the Mayweather-De La Hoya fight for some reason. Some are bright. Others.....?

two judges got it wrong then, cause the other judge only had him up by a point, and some how gave mayweather the last round.

It was a close fight cuz mayweather was very inactive, he looked like a track star out there. Inactivity looks really weak and boring, so judges don't like to support. IT was a close fight becuz of mayweather's boring and ****** mindset. He should just throw more, he would win a lot more convincingly.

          compubox no good..

i am not a fan of compubox, and comentators sitting ringside... because comentators like jim and max are in the HBO pockets and tend to overhype fighters to HBO's conveniences.. i.e. margarito/cotto.. max and jim mouthing off when cotto would connect a good combo upstairs.. but failed to give credit to margarito very good body work in the early rnds.. or how they would praise cotto for combos, yet everyone could see it was nothing but gloves vs clottey.. same deal with the borefest of mayrunner.. it's not good defense, its good business decisions to pick on someone who's still is a large draw, but at the same time he has too many advantages on them.. i.e. gatti, hatton, DLH, corrales, baldomir (i know he's not a draw).. judah (notorious 5 rnd fighter) i mean i dont see how they say he's got great defense, when his style is simply, backpeddle and catch the slower, smaller, older fighters need that extra step to catch him.. but since he's faster, done!.. back to compubox, mayrunner vs dlh.. mayrunner landed 100 more punches, yet at the post fight do we remember his face.. swollen.. DLH was clean, and dont say DLH dont swoll up.. look after the pac figh, even forbes had him swollen.. another thing, mayweahter get's praise for hitting and not being hit.. outhitting his opponents.. yet clottey gets jobbed vs cotto, marquez outlanded pacman in the second fight.. or DLH vs trinidad.. i think compubox should get trashed, and move the comentators away from the judges.. because i know that when jim and max are praising a boxer, judges must be affected.. like i really dont know how mayweather won 11 of 12 rnds vs judah.. wehn the first 5, were probably all judah..

i just think vegas was banking on mayweahter being the next Mr. HBO.. but when he turned his back on his fans and the sport, by never delivering a key career defining win, that's when pac took the spotlight, and now he's coming back to fight someone who is not only at a disadvantage in one way, but is at a disadvantage in speed, size, age, skills is debatable.. which makes a typical mayweahter fight.. as Roach gentle put it.. "i may fall asleep"..ha ha..i'm just happy marquez got his big paycheck.. just dont want him to be written off if he loses yet another boring 12 UD to usaine mayweather bolt. mr. "we're not fighting to prove to the boxingfans who the best is, it's about making smart decisions, that's going to move ME up a notch, move levels" ha ha..

I agree because once floyd was stepping to oscar he was beating him badly like round 5 and 11

Fights aren't always judged by who has the higher hit percentage. Anyone watching the fight could see that if Oscar did not press the action there would have been no fight. Judges don't get to look at compubox numbers. If Floyd potshots all day, but is not the aggressor or if he's fighting backwards the ENTIRE fight, then it is easy to see why some judges would prefer De La Hoya's aggression and activity rather than Floyd's hit percentage.
