Should have put chicken legs on him ,scaled feet and all .

Joking aside The statue looks good ,they however beefed him up a bit in the arms and added some meat on his legs . One detraction is he’s just standing aimlessly like he’s deciding what to order at a fast food place, why not have him in boxing gloves at least ?

Edit I guess I saw the old prototype ? https://mobile.twitter.com/bronzebom...391232?lang=en

I think it's cool for a hometown to honor a person for making it in the world. Maybe this will inspire some kid to push themselves and make a difference in the world no matter what it is.

            A statue?!?

Man I’m not trying to hate but imo he doesn’t deserve a statue.

Maybe rename the street he grew up on Deontay Wilder Avenue. Or, They could give him the key to the city and have Deontay Wilder day.

            A statue. GTFOH.

After his career hits the skids and he goes bankrupt will his statue get cancelled like the various Johnny Reb leaders?

That video clip thumbnail seems to show a different Wilder statue than the one in the actual video. Are there two statues?

edit: on second look, the thumbnail "statue" appears to be a miniature.

Yeah, good spot; thought that was strange, but they both look decent. Don't know if its due to material or something, cos a lot look facially very little like their owners

Yeah, know what you're saying, but if anybody from my ****ty small town did something worthwhile, they'd be getting a statue too, on account of it being a ****ty small town.

As it happens, we got plaques of an ex-prime minister (for 7 months only, since he kicked the bucket), and an inventor of some new vehicle during the industrial revolution. An average joe boxer with well above average power, who was world champion for 5-6 years would easily qualify in a town like this
