There is plenty of proof that at 154 he rehydrated 20lbs.

He was 174 for Angulo. 171 for Lara which makes sense because he needed to be light on his feet. That's still a 17lb jump. It won't let me post the link because it censors out the website but if you search for both you will find them.

    Now.

This is where things get interesting, he went to HBO after this. Even though HBO shows fight night weights for ALL their fighters on the tale of the tape, Canelo was the one person they never showed it for. Hmm, I wonder why. Perhaps it was because the fans wanted to see a GGG fight and GGG was his mandatory after the Cotto fight, but team canelo needed to maintain the facade that he wasn't a middleweight?

But if that's not enough for you, the eyes don't lie. He looked tiny and scrawny against Lara and Floyd but against Cotto he came in looking like a massive bodybuilder. I have no idea how much bigger than 174 he was against Cotto but to anyone who isn't blind it's at least 5-10lbs. Let's say 180. This was 2015.

Since then it's obvious he's gotten much bigger. It's been 7 years. People grow. If I said he's 185 now that would be very very conservative. Probably closer to 190.

And team canelo is still scared to reveal his fight night weight.

Now give us any argument why he's less than 190.

I'm not sure if he's less than 190. He looks really flabby at 175, even at 168 even. I feel like he's probably 180-185 tops. I think he looked huge against Cotto because Cotto is not really a middleweight himself. He's a former 140 lber. Canelo was definitely a huge rehydrater back in the day tho.

He looked huge against Liam Smith too. Looked about 2 weight classes bigger.

I don't know if I agree he's flabby but look you make a good point.

At the end of the day, all we can do is guess because he doesn't reveal his fight night weight. I just personally believe he's closer to 190.

He's gained at least 5lbs of muscle since his days of entering the ring at 174 against junior middleweights.

          Whether it's 5, 10, 15 is anyone's guess, I just think it's close to 10-15.

I wish all fighters would reveal their fight night weight. One reason I miss HBO.

Canelo smart enough not to get on any scales on fight night. But watch the Mayweather fight yourself ... look at the size difference. We know Floyd was 150 lbs. wet. Seasoned ring observers "estimated" that Alvarez was at least 172 lbs. And dayum .... 15 lbs!!?? That's nearly two divisions as it is. That's supposed to be ok?

Canelo is very good and tough. But he's gotten away with a lot per weight-games. It's silly though ... I like his chances when he fights guys his true size without all that extra hydrating to be 15 lbs bigger than his opponent. We'll see if he can keep his belts fighting guys his size, with real skills.

Anyway, there was nowhere to go with Bivol and that hydrating sheet. We saw what happened ...

The only thing that matters is ramirez is ranked #1 in the WBA.
Vacant WBA regular title shot for Ramirez then…

Ramirez is the mandatory, but a unification fight supersedes a mandatory defense, so he will have to wait if Bivol and the winner of Beterbiev vs Smith can make the fight or Bivol rematches Canelo. Boesel was just a punching bag, and Ramirez has never fought anyone close to Bivol's level. He needs to fight the loser of Beterbiev vs Smith (which will most likely be Smith) first because he won't get Bivol this year, but instead he will pick a safe opponent. He's big, but Bivol's movement and skill set would make it hard for him.

Listen to the interview I posted in page #1 they even say it. He beat the #1 guy, why is he not mandatory? Who is mandatory?
