  • The problem with Kovalev, when his opponents are not at the higher levels, he gets bored as **** and starts looking for knockouts and getting careless. You kind of saw that happening here a bit.

BUT, having said all that, IF he listens to Buddy and keeps BOXING..... he can certainly pick up a CW belt. Can probably afford to come in a tad lighter too. Good post fight interview.

Sounds like a gay Canelo fan boy.

        • Kovalev fought exactly like this vs Canelo. He is gun shy I think.

          • Will Kovalev have trouble getting paid too? Seems they are holding back purses for Russian fighters.

            • Kovalev does not throw his right hand any more. Only the jab.
Kovalev has no hooks or uppercuts. How is he going to keep the opponents off him other than pillow-fisted Pulev?

Here it is. You ready?! *drum roll*…..

                Sergey Jabalev!

That’ll fit nicely with all the other brilliant nicknames for boxers on here

                • First line of the article reads as follows:

"Sergey Kovalev’s start in a new weight class got off to an inau****ious start."

For starters, starting an article by writing "start" twice in a row is not a promising start for someone who started writing about boxing in the hope of starting a career.
