As for Jermall: he took 9 months off (September '20 to June '21) from his victory against Derevy, and faced Montiel. Then, Jermall took another a year off, ignored Andrade, and is returning in June to face Sulecki who has previously lost to Andrade. Jermall can use the politics excuse for Munguia, but Hearn seemed willing to pay Jermall handsomely or allow Andrade to fight off DAZN. If we're to believe that the fighters have most of the control and that guys like Hearn/Haymon simply present boxers with options, then the "money" or "politics" excuses aren't applicable to the Jermall/Andrade match-up. Jermall has chosen to enact his personal vendetta against Andrade by NOT fighting him, instead of actually laying hands on him.
And NO, I don't give Munguia and GGG a pass for avoiding Andrade. At least GGG had the "money" excuse with Murata and Canelo, but IDK what GBP's ultimate plan is with Munguia. I'm gonna assume that GBP will try and make GGG/Munguia if GGG can't get Canelo next.
Tell me, what is the most logical match-up to make when there are two boxers that seemingly nobody else wants to fight? THEY FIGHT EACH OTHER!
TLDR: Jermell should stay at LMW and reign, and Jermall needs to do SOMETHING to inject some excitement back into his career.
