Do Resumes.....

Fair one man i don't like him because i've never seen him say one positive thing about any fighter and that's the truth i hate people sitting in their moms basement disrespecting brave warriors who risk their lives in that ring why he probably won't even talk to a girl irl.Comment

Are you talking about Amir Khan?
For me, there are stages
1st 10-15 fights should be ''easy''. That's why boxing itself gradually steps up rds. Novice level until proven otherwise.
If after say 10 fights, a guy has a laughable record (less than 3 wins, most losses by KO)...he qualifies as a bum.
Another stage is the hype stage
After destroying those gimme fighters, hype job crashes the moment he steps up. Only to returns to his winning ways until he steps up again. I also consider a failed hype job to be a bum despite his fabricated w/l record.
Then you have guys in the final stage...proven
I don't mean picking at the carcass of what used to be a legit fighter (Rocky vs Louis or Pac vs DLH).
Actually (not theoretically) stepping into the ring with someone who has a similar strength of resume and is prime or close.
Beating those types of fighters is where it's at.
Testing yourself (AKA chasing greatness) is an added bonus, even in losing.
No one fights only the top guys.
For one, promoters do a lot to muddy the waters.
Then we have the financial aspect.
Then timing.
Nelo is bashed because he was not born close enough to when GGG was born. Figure that one out.Comment

GGG fans are obsessed in avoiding his resume. Is this thread something to do with Canelo and Golovkin again? You're obsessed man.
Canelos an example of a very good fighter who got lots of opportunities and financial backing and got them early, Golovkin's an example of a very good fighter who got far fewer opportunities and got them later in his career. Your approach to risk is always gonna look different when your generational wealth and future paydays are assured by your mid 20s than it will when when your first $ million payday doesn't come until you're 32 or 33 and the end of your earning potential is looming. And that's not to mention that big names ain't gonna fight you unless they get paid. Two completely different careers and career trajectories with completely different circumstances.
So yes indeed, resumes do have a place in boxing - certainly despite the fact that they're of a similar level in terms of ability Canelo will - and should - rank in the all time lists whereas Golovkin probably won't (except as a MW) - but like everything else in this life context is also important.
The word resume, when it relates to their hero, or the hero of any hater, is like acid in their eyes.
It seems as if the only resume that is constantly on display to be mocked is Nelo and May before him.
That trend seems to be ok with the crowd. No questions aksed.
I try to get them to spread their expert pov around and it's ''you're a troll'' :lol1;
Even worse. I get called NUTHUGGER
As if fans everywhere aren't ''nuthuggers''
I'd be a valued member of NSB if I joined in on the Nelo hate

The funny thing is people like you do exactly what you accuse the rest of us of.
You expect us to give Canelo credit for getting battered and swinging and missing for 12 rounds.
But Shawn Porter, you call a cherry pick, who actually did dare to be great by taking on Errol Spence, after his massacre of Mikey Garcia and terrorization/shaking of Thurman and the rest of the WW division, became the first man to show the world that Spence was human in a fight many people think he won??
But you give him ZERO credit for that?

I expect criticism to be spread evenly and with as much detail as THE NEXT FIGHTER.The funny thing is people like you do exactly what you accuse the rest of us of.

We see how popular that is.
If Nelo is a bum for losing to a so called bigger bum/cherry, let's who is DOING MORE.
That's when I'm called names

It does't work that way when you get paid $360 million to be the face of boxing and Demetrius Andrade is just trying to feed his kids.
And before the Bivol loss, 99% of this forum was pro canelo anyway, there were like 3 of us calling him out on his lack of skills to compete at the elite level. The criticism is far more slanted towards fighters like Bud and Andrade.Comment
