Taking an L is tough. Boxing isn’t a seasonal game where you play 16, 82, 162 games and losses here and there are okay. In boxing, as you can see, a loss makes critics start spewing nonsense about the loser getting exposed, or the loss is some form of concrete evidence that the loser was never great to begin with and that.

So boxers take losses heavily mainly due to the backlash of losing.
