I was gonna place a hundy or two on "marquez to win". But you think a FMJ stoppage is likely? Really?
You got dough like that? I'd only throw 50

I believe Marquez will see past the 12, probably get dropped in the process. Mayweather did say, he wouldn't be satisfied with a U.D.

Al, also remember that Marquez can cut up easily. An accurate counter puncher like Mayweather will surely capitalize on that. I'm saying all this **** but I'm still 50/50

Most of Marquez's fans are discounting Floyd's layoff, not to mention the rib injury, and giving Juan no chance. This is considering Juan has already tasted the canvas a few times.

Originally, I had a cheap hotel room in Vegas. The Monte Carlo (where I've stayed a couple of times before). I know it's an older property, but I can get the Monaco Suite really cheap, and since it's right across from the MGM, it works out well. And I can walk right over to Mandalay Bay.

Anyway, i had kinda budgeted a Vegas weekend. Had a funeral recently, so Vegas is off the table - can't take more time away from work. So, I can and should still place th bets I was gonna drop at MB Sportsbook. Right?

If you bet $50 on Floyd to win, you win like $14. Really.

$50 on Floyd by knock out. I don't make money like that, so that's what I would do. I wouldn't risk $200 on Marquez, unless you got it like that.

Like many great fighters, JMM is a sharp-shooter. He throws short, quick, straight, accurate punches. And he generally hits what he throws at. He doesn't waste a lot of punches. But that strength may also be to his detriment against Floyd. Juan will have to de-program his mind and just throw punches. Even if he doesn't see the opening, just throw.

This is hard to do. It goes against everything he knows, and against his instincts. As we all know, during the heat of the battle, you revert to instincts. What is natural to you.

Here is what some of Floyd opponents LANDED per round over the course of a fight:

              Hatton: 6 punches / round

              Delahoya: 10 punches/rd

              Judah: 7

              Gatti: 7

              Castillo 1: 17

              Castillo 2: 11

              Corrales: 6

              Corley: 13

              Baldomir: 7

              Mitchell: 5

              Bruseles: 10

If JMM wants to win, he MUSTMUSTMUST land more punches than this.
No he doesn't, he just has to make sure they're well placed. If his punching power is still solid at 144 it won't look good for Floyd.

JMM averaged 80+ per round against Juan Diaz. That's pretty damn good for someone who's programmed. He will throw in combination, especially if Floyd wants to get aggressive.

Go with Mayweather, Mayweather's alot more confident then we think. When the fight was announed Mayweather grabbed Marquez, spinned him towards himself and continued to stare down Marquez, ignoring the guy in the background saying, "Look into the camera!", Mayweather then turned away saying "I'ma slay him, I'ma kill him, I'ma kill him!". Recently he also said, "I'm coming to seek and destroy!". Goes to show how confident Mayweather is, the layoff may have a good or bad affect on him, I honestly don't know. But Mayweather is VERY confident.

Also remember, Mayweather isn't happy with Pacquiao getting so much credit with Mayweather's last two opponents. People constantly bringing up, how Pacquiao did a MUCH better job against Mayweather's last two opponents. Mayweather's objective isn't only to win but leave Marquez's lifeless body at Pacquiao's front door. He might dominate for all we know.

                Hope that helps.
I agree fully and think Floyd is gunna stop him ,, Floyd is a bad dude when he fights guys near his size , Manny nearly got beat by Juan so Floyd will make a statement and stop JMM .

But Juan was open. That is why JMM kept throwing. Juan lets his hands go a lot.

BTW, "programmed" wasn't derogatory. Think "schooled".

                    Yeah, you're right.

The betting play is Mayweather by KO/TKO. Those odds are pretty good at 17/10.

                    Thanks for the reasoned view.

your right, but i think the bigger problem is he's way too small for a welterweight fight, am a big marquez fan, he can match mayweather in speed, power and skills, but ultimately the size difference will prevail in this fight
