Oscar would have never allowed Bivol to win on the scorecards

Oscar? He was also recently planning to return to the ring & fight Canelo & others. He also was going to run for president to beat Trump. Believing in Oscar now is a fool's game.

I mean, he’s not wrong this time. Terrible choice of fight and nothing I saw leads me to believe Canelo fairs any better in a rematch. He went from discussions of potentially being the best Mexican fighter in history to potentially ruining his entire career. He loses the rematch. Then what?

Oscar. I'm a 62 yr old nobody from Canada. And I knew all about Bivol. And have for sometime. And I predicted many many times that Bivol would " toy " with Canelo after analyzing styles etc. I predicted Bivol would win handily in the video of Abel Sanchez's prediction YouTube video. I'm "Bonzo" there in the comment section. . That was a month ago. You predicted Canelo. How can a nobody from Canada, know the EXACT outcome, and big legends like yourself know nothing ? What's wrong with you? Too much blow? What's going on?

Your buying that crap ? Everyone knows Bivol . He smashed around Joe Smith , he smashed around Jean Pascal and he smashed around Sullivan Barrera. Everyone knows Bivol. Don't be so naive. Next time around, Bivol won't be so cautious. Bivol made sure he got a convincing victory. And he did. Next time, whether at 168 or 175, Bivol destroys Canelo. Take that to the bank.

Goddamn Oscar just sh#t on Canelo with that "If he fights him 10 times, he loses 10 times" line.

He's not wrong IMO as far as the risk/reward was concerned. All the duck and guiding fighter's career talk is annoying as a fan. As a businessman I can't really say he's wrong.

Thank God he isn't with you anymore then. Yeah he lost but the fighters should demand hard fights. He gets paid no matter what so he should go for legacy fights and skip the easy fights.

he should have stayed beating up that trash at 168 and looking like a 'monster'. he will get made to look like a ****ing bum again in rematch (although probably get a decision)but then after he will drop down to 168 beat someone like john ryder and suddenly ' the real canelo is back!!!' and 'hes found his form again' his loser fans can claim hes unbeatable at 168 again and start comparing him to roy jones, calzaghe, ward etc like they did before.

He was the favorite lol, why wouldn't he be allowed. Just turns out Bivol is a better opponent than expected / Canelo maybe doesn't have enough punching power for that weight.

The fight was a big challenge for Alvarez, but was it really a big event? No. It was not really a good business move from Alvarez or Hearn.

There where many more exciting match ups that could of been made for Alavrez.

Charlo's, Benevadez, Golovkin. All of these fights would of engaged the fans more, and created exciting themes etc.

Oscar De La Hoya is 90% right in what he is saying.
