He got no business at 168.

most of Bivol's 200 something fights were at 168 lbs

Wow--hate on ***** but not the average Russian--most of them hate the dictatorship but have little power against the govt. Bivol seems like an average guy living under totalitarian rule. I pick Bivol in rematch at 175 but Canelo at 168.

I don't think size is why Canelo lost. I think he underestimated Bivol's toughness. This is the first time Canelo came up against somebody that can hold up under some serious body punching. It was obvious his game plan was to beat up on his body and arms, take the starch out of his punches, and knock him out. That was a pretty brutal assault. Canelo repeatedly targeted Bivol's lead arm, especially the area just above his left elbow. He knew that Bivol's game is jab oriented, he throws more than most. When that didn't work, Canelo should've adjusted, but he believed he would eventually wear down. He wasn't changing up his speeds and power. He was throwing all his punches hard, and ran out of gas. Once again, the most important punch in boxing wins the day. Bivol's game plan, to keep Canelo away with the jab, and stay disciplined working behind his jab, worked beautifully. He's the champion. He doesn't go down in weight . Canelo wants the rematch. He's the one that should move back up. And he can still win, but not if he leaves his jab in his gym bag.

Everyone listening ? Bivol can make 168 easily. All this is , is a tactic to get Canelo and his team thinking Bivol will struggle to make weight. If Canelo's team think they can get an edge in the rematch, they'll take it. I'm praying for the rematch to be at 168. Bivol will destroy Canelo at 168. And Bivol knows it too. Contrary to popular belief, it's Canelo who struggles with making 168. Which is exactly why he wanted the Light Heavy titles. He's MUCH more comfortable at 175 than 168. And that's why this loss is so devastating to him. Now he's got to train and drain again. And a big reason why he wanted to fight at cruiser and even , as recently stated by his camp, to fight Usyk at 201. This has got nothing to do with " daring to be great " . It's got to do with paychecks and not wanting to kill himself getting his weight in the 160's. Now we got crackhead con artist De La Hoya telling everyone that if Canelo stops playing golf and starts eating steaks, that it will be a different fight. We got Mike Tyson, now officially brain dead, telling everyone if Canelo used his jab, it would've been a different fight. These guys are saving face from the ridiculous predictions they made. Listen, regardless of which weight, 168 or 175, Bivol will even do better next time. Actually Bivol bought a little bit into the Canelo fraud train too. He was being way to cautious. He knew from round 1 on the fight was his , so he owned it, took no chances and won every round. Next time, fireworks. I'm praying the fight is at 168.

I'm not a big Canelo fan, I'm saying Bivol would leave his fight on the dinner table at 168.

Benevidez hasn't proven himself yet either. Yeah, he's 25-0, but the only fight of any stature was Gavril, who fought him to a UD and SD in 2 contests. That said, David Benevidez is my favorite boxer right now because he is so much fun to watch. I've watched the Angulo fight like 10 times. It was in an empty arena, and you could get a better sense of what it's like in there when you can hear it as well as see it.

Then don’t even try. Don’t get paid to lose so that Canelo can save face with the casuals
