The thing is, Canelo fans keep saying resume resume resume, but when you look at the resume of canelo opponents they're not that good either.

The Terence Crawford haters are quick to point out how shot Porter was or how shot Matthyse was when Postol beat him. But so was Pascal when Bivol beat him. Who did Plant ever beat? Uzcategui, in a close fight? That's not what I call great opposition. Billy Saunders best win is Lemeuix, but they have the audacity to say Andrade and Charlo's resume sucks? Callum Smith's best win is a shot Groves and then lost to John Ryder. And let's not even start wth Kovalev, last weekend proved that this win was a complete and utter joke.

How is this the string of wins that shot canelo to #1 over Crawford? These opponents are not any better than Bud's recent stretch of wins.

      It's subjective. All rankings are.

Spence was #1 when he was going to fight Manny, who was #3.

Ugas beats Manny (#3) decisively, doesn't hardly go up past #5.

Crawford gets elevated to #1 for beating #4-ranked Porter.

Spence beats #3 Ugas decisively and unifies 3 titles, doesn't go up at all.

      It's all games.

You have Crawford who fights can after can and he's #1 according to them? What a joke.

        woke black privilege strikes again.
the ring, who is famously biased in favor of Canelo, moved him to 6. This is a lot more fair to canelo than they did lomacheko who was #1, but bounced completely from the list, after losing to a guy who actually did outweigh him by a massive amount.

          The Ring has it as

          1. Usyk
          2. Bud
          3. Inoue
          4. Spence
          5. Estrada

I really don't understand why dudes in a losing fight almost never go for broke anymore. When you need a KO, keep ****ing punching son. Getting hit doesn't matter anymore, punch, you might still win. Defense ain't going to swing a fight you lost every round in. Punching can.
Well, that's what got Jesus 'El Matador' Chavez quitting against Floyd, because the more that guy threw, Floyd was blocking or evading (or both) and countering the hell out of him. Better to at least go the distance in loss, like Clottey against Manny.

That seems like a big drop to me, but maybe because he lost so many rounds against a guy who may not even be the #1 lightheavyweight? I don't know.

The Ring is owned by Oscar de la Hoya. I'm surprised Canelo's even on that list.

Im no Crawford hater or Canelo fan you seen me in enough threads to know that i give all fighters their props and also knock them if i think they do wrong i'm just simply stating Crawford's competition has been pretty rough and below Canelo. I'm talking like Mayweather, Jacobs, GGG, Cotto, Lara all better competition than Crawford has faced. As i say man if he beats Spence then he can have a claim for p4p but atm i don't see logically how he can be put above Usyk other than from eye test.

But either lost to all those people or won with controversy. If Terence Crawford fought Fury tomorrow that would be a bigger risk than any of them ,so would you catapult him to #1 if he lost?

Jacobs and Cotto are the only ones he won without controversy and I would argue that those 2 are no better than any top Crawford opponent.

At least he was prepared to get in the ring with them and have a bloody good go though i don't even like Canelo much tbh think he's a diva but still fought better competition than Crawford. Until he gets in that ring with Spence even if he loses then i don't respect him all that much he's a good fighter just not sure how good until he fights the other best in the division. It's only because he hasn't lost he is inflated it's easy to look good beating up bums just look at Wilder. Usyk has done the business unified at cruiserweight and beat AJ more than Crawford has accomplished imo.
