This fight ain't happening. Ryan doesn't want the spoke. He will bail and say he is fighting Connor McGregor or someone.

Cruz is small and fights even smaller, Garcia might have trouble dealing with his height. And Ryan's going to have to start tucking his chin in or one of Cruz's overhand rights will make it an early night.Comment

Just going off previous experience, if this fight doesn’t happen next it’ll likely be because of Garcia and team. Cruz said on a recent interview that he’s not in a position to take a year long vacation. The man wants to stay active and he has more to win by fighting Garcia next. He’s hungry. Garcia, on the other hand, is a star on social media and boxing. He can afford to take extended breaks and fight lesser competition. So the onus is on Garcia. Will he prove boxing fans wrong? Does he truly possess the hunger for greatness? Or is he content with his millions of followers on social media and the millions that he’s taking in from boxing and other avenues? We’ll see. I hope he proves us wrong.Comment

You are a liar and a coward. It would seem that these 'Garcia's' have a hard time meeting demands set by the WBC at 135. I remember when Mickey Garcia held the WBC lightweight title hostage whilst moving around up in weight, it was horrible. Mickey never fought Golden-Boy's Jorge Linares ( or Vasily Lomachenko ), even though Linares was the WBC diamond-belt champ.
The World Boxing Council let Mikey fight that hype-job at the time Dejan Zlaticanin way back in 2017, and then let Mickey play games until he left the lightweight division.
So here we got this other 'Garcia' ( Ryan ) doing the most, living up to Mickey's legacy of wasting everyone's time, but helping Mauricio Sulaiman collect sanctioning fees for WBC 'Silver' 'Interim' titles ; even though Ryan could of fought Devin 'The Dream' Haney anytime he wanted.
A soft coward, cherry-picker, is what I see, letting everyone fight his fights like : Jo-Jo Diaz taking care of Javier Fortuna and Devin Haney removing Jorge Linares out of the way -- Ryan was appointed to face both of mentioned fighters by the WBC. The worst duck was probably old Jorge Linares, old enough to be Ryan's father ; Linares was also with Golden-Boy, Ryan's own promoter.
I'm thinking why should Ryan take a risk? Devin Haney might even vacate the belts if he beats George Kamboso.
Why are you making up all these lies?Comment

I don’t think Ryan is ready for that animal. He’s what 23 years old. I’d of liked him to fight 4 more fights before fighting Cruz. The recent announcement by the WBC slightly altered Golden Boy Promotions' plans to announce the next fight for Ryan Garcia. That doesn't mean they can't adapt and move forward.

Except Brook is a bum nobody ever heard about or wanted to watch.Ryan keeps calling the short guys out because he thinks that he will be in a huge advantage. I predict another injury or mental break down and off to another tune-up fight.
His career his forming like Brook. Apparent talent but it took forever to fight a name of note.
Can't say the same about Garcia.

Hmmm, I’m not saying Ryan doesn’t have a chance BUT I don’t think he can beat him YET. Davis MIGHT be over rated but he’s no walk in the park either.
If Ryan FULLY respected Cruz and kept him at the distance with a fast smothering jab like Bivol used. He has a definite chance of beating him.Comment
