My neighbors who are casual fans of boxing all of a sudden losing interest in the sport. They told me upfront that they're not even buying the Mayweather/Marques PPV.

So, if I were to tell you that my neighbors love the Mayweathers, and Floyd Mayweather, and his weird ass dad and uncle have helped turn them on to boxing, would you agree that it helps support an opinion that the Mayweathers are "saving boxing", and not "pushing it to the brink of collapse"?

The only way we can gauge this is whether the JMM/FMJ will have a decent PPV buys. However, based on my experiences with casual fans it seems like they really dislike specifically the Mayweathers' due to their thug like behavior.

We most certainly can NOT gauge the future of boxing off of this ONE fight.
