I feel sorry for all those and MTK fighters who may be in limbo. Some are just trying to get traction after lockdowns.Comment

He's not going to be stuck for good options anyway, that's for sure.Comment

Whittaker admitted it was the money first. Boxxer offered double what Matchroom did. I believe Yafai will be a great fighter. Wether he becomes popular or not is a different matter. But he's already been on Okolies last undercard. And just impressed at MSG with plenty eyes on him. He's also a perfect signing for Hearn, with potential big fights against the likes of Estrada, Chocolotito, Caudras, rungvisai, Martinez and Bam Rodriguez down the line. Maybe even Sunny Edwards now he's not with Queensbury. Yes he's a bit to go, but he'll move quickly just like Bam has. So he may be a good success.Comment

Of course it's better for the fans, but so is the EPL if it was on terrestrial tv. The point is, it's never gonna happen. So when you weigh up the product then it's up to who's putting on the best cards. If your a general sports fan then Sky is gonna be the place to be. Right now their cards are not great, but theyll get there I'm sure. Sky is pricey as you've said, but it's a full sports package. Dazn have nothing else admittedly but the value for boxing is great. And I can't see how anyone could think otherwise. I only watch boxing, so it's perfect for me. No PPVs to fork out for. Suits me. Never laid eyes on a BT sport show live, because Queensbury cards are so poor. Better card tonight on Channel 5 than most of their cards. I guess it's what suits you, but terrestrial tv boxing is never gonna be huge again and that's just the reality.Comment

I think Yafai will be a really good fighter but he’s just never going to be a draw. Sunny is a perfect example very good fighter but probably couldn’t sell out York Hall. The only people interested in the flyweights are the hardcore fans unfortunately. Personally, I love those divisions.

It could be huge though. Would you rather 500,000 people tuning in to your product or 10 million? Boxing will always remain a niche sport if it’s restricted to platforms like Sky, BT which prioritise football and several other sports above boxing. Then, barely anybody will watch it at all on apps like DAZN tbh. I stopped subbing months ago tbh, I don’t think it’s good value at all tbh. Sky Sports is £25 extra a month but as part of that you get EPL, EFL and international football, NFL and NBA, F1, Super League Rugby, Cricket, PGA tour Golf, European tour golf, Darts, Pool etc. There’s loads tbh as well as maybe 2 boxing shows a month. Meanwhile DAZN in the UK is what a £10 a month? And you get maybe what 3-4 boxing shows a month? I don’t see the value tbh.

Yeah he's not gonna do 90 plus at Wembley. But he can still make money on the road in US and places like the middle east. I think he'll be a on the road fighter. But flyweight don't attract the same. I love those divisions also.

Yeah like I said, if your a general sports fan then those are the best options. I'm just a boxing fan now. I lost interest in other sports. So Dazn suits me. They've got a show on pretty much every week. And it's easy to cancel if you don't fancy some then resub again for a big one, and with that there's another 2 or 3 for your money. In an ideal world we'd all love terrestrial to be strong again.

I literally only sub to Sky cause of the football and NBA, without that I’d bail it. I subbed to DAZN originally but after the price rise and announcement of PPV I stopped my subscription.
