Boxing is a Popularity Contest. Proof: Why does nobody care about Chris Byrd??

I just found out that he has a youtube Channel.

500 views from a year ago of a reaction vid on a boxing match. A fat mouth breathing, drooling couch potato gets more views than that reacting to boxing matches.

This dude is a LEGEND. 2 times heavyweight champ that started out as a LHW.

Yet somehow, nobody ever brings him up. It's a tragedy

this case should be studied. Why does nobody care about Byrd? yet guys like stumble bum Rosado and no english Golovkin get all kind of hype.

Dude you say in your first sentence that you only just this minute found out he has a youtube account.. nobody knows about it probably. In what context should people be bringing him up? there is a lot of unappreciated fighters from the past as it has always been a popularity contest to a certain extent you rather need extreme skill or the personality/charisma to get people drawn to you. You can't say GGG/Rosado as they are still active fighters of course they will be talked about more than fighters that no longer fight but i don't get the love for Rosado either dude sucks ass.

Tim Witherspoon also has a boxing channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTg...jw40WY15TDU9gw

It all depends on what they want their channel to be, maybe they want lowkey traffic. Boxing is a small world and for guys like these I imagine if they really wanted to they could contact more popular guys to give them a channel shout out.
