If Canelo Alvarez decides to have a rematch vs Dmitry Bivol, what can Canelo do better or different to win the fight?

A few people hit on it, but he has to box more. He fought Bivol with a high guard, throwing hayemakers while trying to take Bivol's left hand away by punching it.

The highguard walk down worked on Kovalev, and punching the left arm worked against Smith, but I'm surprised to see team Canelo think it would work against Bivol, who is much younger than Kovalev, in his prime and much thicker than Smith (I think punching the arms is most effective against skinnier or smaller fighters, not against a bigger opponent when you're moving up in weight).

I'm not saying Canelo wins the rematch, but he'll do better if he approaches the fight like he did against BJS and Plant. He needs head movement, a good jab, bodywork and combination punching. If he does this well enough they may very well rob Bivol in the rematch

Canelorid was overhyped big time, that is why.

it was literally rigged 115-113. Throw more punches in the 5th round since he will be given the 1st four rounds again. This is where Hopkins and his dirt come in b/c he is a minority owner at GBP. When they are engaged along the ropes, step on Bivol's foot and punch which should throw him off balance. If he stumbles and the ropes catch, they are going to call it a knockdown or leave your corner with water on the mat and move him to that corner and force a slip. I believe that would be enough to flip the rigged cards over. Other than that, up the dosage, push all the cushion out of the knuckles of the gloves and severe hydration clause like 1.5 lbs above 175

Then, he'll go to the press conference and say that same nonsense he said to lara - We Mexicans don't "F" around.

Just stay out of the division. He nor Chavez Jr belongs there.

Cotto is McDonald worker to you? haha

In a rematch Bivol wins even easier. Bivol took first 4 rounds too carefully, he almost threw them away. next time Bivol will know exactly what to expect, he won`t respect Canelo too much.

Do it at 168 (which Bivol will do for the pay day)

Whats he gonna change now at 32 that he hasn't learned throughout his 20s?

he walks down, tries his power, if it works then great. If it does not work then the judges will score for him anyway.

He hasn't learned anything new from his time losing to Mayweather and losing to GGGx2.

Maybe if he learns some humility and stops dressing like a beach bum, he might actually pick up some boxing tips.

If Canelo fights Bivol again the only difference to win is to bring a gun to the fight.. It was obvious that he didn't have the power to hurt Bivol.
